I have just read the review from Toronto, Canada and I have to agree with this gentleman's critic of this hotel. I have stayed at this hotel twice in the past 6 months, Feb & July 2004, and both times have experienced the total lack of regard for clients by the motel's staff. We paid extra to have our room maintained by housekeeping, we never saw housekeeping and the room was never maintained. When I would contact the office regarding the matter I was told that it had been cleaned that day. I am standing in the room looking at an unmade bed, no fresh towels, etc. I guess their defination of housekeeping differs from ours. The front office staff have an attutide of "don't bother me" - it doesn't matter if you are talking to the assistant manger or a clerk, they all have the same "I could care less" attitude. The Laundry facility is always dirty and the washers and dryers do not always work. Don't ever try to find staff after 6 pm at this complex because they have all disappeared. Don't ever try to extend or shorten your reservation at this motel because that's next to impossible. In February the sliding doors of the closet were off the rollers, I came back in July and had the exact same room and the door was still off the rollers. Made me wonder how long it has been since anybody has checked the maintainence requests because I did report the door in February to the office. Needless to say, this is the last time I stay at the motel, this weekend stay fixed me for good. Next time I am in WPB I will be staying at a different housekeeping motel. That was one of the reasons this motel was chosen in the first time, because they do contain kitchenettes. It's nice to beable to fix a sandwich at 1 am. There is no pool, no dining room, no nothing at this motel for the travelling public. This motel is designed to accommodate work crews who come in for extended periods of time to work in the area. And trust me, there were lots of men staying here both times, who were from out of state and were there working construction etc. in the area for extended periods and all they need is a place to lay their head's after a long, hot, hard day's work and a place to fix something to eat. That explains maybe why the staff has the attitutde that they do cause they certainly aren't interested in meeting their guests needs. Sorry Studio 6 but your staff just don't "cut the mustard" when it comes to dealing with the general public.
