We only stayed here on the night we arrived in the US and were so exhausted that we could have slept standing up. However, the next day we realised just how shabby this place was. The bedroom was dank and the bathroom was truly disgusting. The tub was filthy and the walls were mildew. Yuk. Breakfast was pretty disappointing too. A limited selection of gooey pastries and a few pieces of aging fruit. Also, a lady who just seemed to hover to see who put tips in her tip jar but not offer much assistance when things ran out. Not up to usual Best Western standards. Stay away if possible.

“TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE”

Best Western Palm Beach Lakes

I am generally a big fan of Best Western. They usually offer a good value and an acceptable property. However, this is by far the worst I have ever experienced. I had to be moved to 4 different rooms over my 4 nights here. I would have left the property all together, but rooms were booked all around the city. There were many problems with deffered maintenance. Toilets leaked into the floors, electrical outlets didn't work. TV controllers were broken, tubs and faucets wouldn't stop dripping. Tubs were clogged up. Breakfast breads were bought in bulk, cut into pieces and wrapped in plastic wrap instead of being bought properly wrapped and sealed. They made me check out and back in everytime they changed my room. IT WAS A NIGHTMARE EXPERIENCE.

This used to be a nice hotel. We travel often and always stay here, but not anymore. We did'nt get to the hotel till midnight, needless to say we were very tired. The room smelled like the carpet had been wet.We asked for another room and it was the same.Everything is shabby and nothing works. The hispanic woman at the front desk was very rude. Also my family was in the hotel during the hurricane(Wilma).NO electricity water on and off.The hotel did not check on their guests and refused to give a refund for the nights not used so my family could leave and go north.Do they exspect you to stay there with no power or water? When asked if they knew were to get gas they replyed no with an attitude.

“Not what I expected”

This was the first time my boyfriend and I ever been to West Palm Beach. We wanted to get away for the weekend. As soon as we arrived to the hotel I got very depressed. It looked really shabby. The people working for the front desk were not polite. They would speak to each other and have you waiting for them to finish their conversations before even assisting you. The room we had was small and the carpet felt wet the entire time we were there. The only attraction that area had was the mall across the street. Everything else was more than 2 miles away. If you don't have a car, it's not a good place to be. I have to admit the only good thing is how close this hotel was to the airport and the fact that they provide shuttle service. All in all, unless you need a quick place to stay for the night don't use this hotel for getaways.

We were looking for a cheap weekend away from the cold and flew down to PBI. This hotel had the best rate in the area. The room was dated and nothing fancy but for the price it was a great deal. We were quoted $96 but received the Government rate of $48/night. It was close to shopping/restaurants and only a short drive to West Palm and Palm Beach highlights. The only complaint was very small ants coming in from the door. The staff was courteous and helpful. Would definitely stay here again. Just remember....you get what you pay for and you're getting a deal here.
