This is one of the worst places I have ever stayed. A business associate had her car vandalized and there was a person who said she was trying to book a room for a few hours when folks from our group checked in. (Yes you understand that correctly)

If you like to take your pillow with you on trips as many travelers do, be careful. The pillow or the case maybe gone when you return: as mine was and the hotel and Corporate Best Western don't care. They will basically tell you to go pound sand. It seems according to their national customer service representatives that their motels are allowed "so many" of these kinds of complaints per year. Imagine a theft threshold....What will they think of next?

Stayed at the Best Western Palm Beach Lakes because it was recommended as a host hotel for the West Palm Beach marathon. They gave us a "discount" of $99. As I checked in, the man in front of me paid $69...The only thing that kept me from changing hotels was the late check out on race day. The room felt very grungy and I felt like I had to wash my hands after touching anything. Returned 2 pillows because of blood stains on one of the cases and on the pillow itself. On the last day, I discovered a large blood stain on the side of the mattress which had been covered up. Absolutely disgusting! After we got back from the marathon, our keys didn't work so I had to go back to the lobby to get access again (even though I specifically asked them the day before if we would have any trouble). I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

I was very afraid after all of the reviews I read, but the hotel room had already been booked by my employer and could not be changed. Luckily, it was not as bad as the reviews I read. Upon check in, the staff was extremely rude. After speaking with management, we were told the rude employee was no longer working there. Other front desk staff was friendly and helpful, and housekeeping responded very quickly when requests were made. Transportation within a few miles was available for $15 for the length of your stay, but you have to wait sometimes. The room size and furniture was acceptable, although the carpet was ugly and slightly damp. I am told that this is a common thing in West Palm for this season. The pool was great. The free continental breakfast was good, and although things were oddly wrapped in saran wrap, nothing tasted stale/old/freezer-burned. There is a Target next door and a mall across the street. Other people in our group stated that the mall is not a nice one, but it had a Macy's in it, so I would guess it can't be that bad. It is very convenient to the Tri-Rail station, connecting to Ft. Lauderdale and Miami, and it only took me about 10 or 12 minutes to drive to beaches in Palm Beach. I think this place is fine for the money, but I would probably opt for another hotel if one was available for a bit more money.

I recently stayed at the Best Western Palm Beach Lakes in West Palm Beach, Florida. During the 5 nights we were moved to 4 different rooms. I was traveling with small children. Just in one room, the shower did not work, the cold water went out while I was showering, the bathroom door would not close, the carpet was wet and the refrigerator would not cool. The second room was worse than the first as far as looks. The walls were marked up and the room had a funny smell. The third room was much better, but by this time the manager upgraded us to a suite. The suite was very nice and the manager did give us a free night. The carpets in all the rooms could stand to be cleaned. The overall cleanliness of the hotel was not what I expected. Most of the staff was pleasant including the manager.
