We stayed at this hotel on August 19-21. There were four of us and we reserved 2 rooms.
Positives: The hotel was in a great location. It was right off the Interstate. There were numerous shops and restaurants within walking distance. It was easy to find. Check in was also easy and quick. Our room was very big. We had a king bed with a partial living room area. The sofa was huge. We also had a refrigerator; however, no microwave. The room had flat screen tv. Everything was very clean and we enjoyed our stay.
Negatives: There were no vending machines on the property. If you wanted to purchase a coke or a snack, you had to go to the lobby. We bought a 20oz coke and the cost was $2.29 for the drink. We also purchased a Twix candy bar that was $1.39. Those prices seem a little bit high for something you should be able to get from a hotel vending machine for much cheaper.
The AC unit was unusually loud. It woke us up everytime it came on at night. I don't know if it was just the one in our room or if all were like that. It was very very loud.
This hotel was sold out both nights. There seemed to be a lot of children there. We were unable to sleep in the early morning hours because around 7am, there were kids running and screaming in our hallway. I know this is no fault of the hotel directly, but still something I wanted to mention.
Overall: They provided a free breakfast that had only dry cereal, a few muffins, bagels, juice and toast. The standard complimentary stuff. They also had a menu with bacon, eggs, waffles and french toast that you could order from. We ordered French toast and bacon for around $8.00. The food was good.
Odd things: We booked this hotel through the 1800 Hyatt number. When we booked they told us we would need to pay the balance in full. We did pay upfront and both nights were charged on my credit card. For some reason, we were booked in room 314 for the first night and then checked out and booked in another room for the second night. We were not aware of this and stayed in 314 for the second night. When we went to check out, we had been charged again for the second night. The hotel desk clerk assured me that we had only been charged once. I assured her that we had already paid for our room in full. After calling my credit card company and finding out I was correct, I went back to speak to them. The desk clerk got the manager and they finally figured out the problem. They removed the charge for the 2nd night. Overall it was frustrating, but I am happy that the management worked to find out the problem and resolved it quickly.
Would we stay again? Sure.. location was excellent, hotel was clean, management was very cooperating with our billing issue.
