The staff is very friendly and the property in general was in good condition. Internet worked great and the bed was comfortable. Bed sheets were stained badly and should never have been kept in service but staff replaced quickly and apologized. The indoor pool was very clean and enjoyable and there is a nice charoal grill and outdoor sitting area if your inclined to cook out. The complimentary waffle breakfast was satisfactory but get there early to avoid the rush hour if the hotel is heavily booked. My first stay at a Jameson Inn and I would stay at this one again.

“Not much to choose from in Rome....”

Jameson Inn Rome

23 Oct 2007

I just spent a night at the Jameson Inn in Rome GA. While I was fairly disappointed in our stay, there really isn't much to choose from in the area that looked any better at this kind of price, so I shouldn't complain, but......The room was tiny. The bathroom was no bigger than a closet - in fact, I had to exit the bathroom and get dressed in the living area because the room was unbearably hot (ventilation was an issue). The shower curtain was too short and the floor was soaking wet when I finished. The bed was comfortable, but I was told that the hotel was out of blankets when I requested an extra - how do you let that happen in a hotel that isn't even half full? The breakfast area is also quite small; I couldn't find anywhere to sit in the morning to eat. The hotel was quite clean, which is usually my #1 priority, but I just had an uncomfortable stay in such a small space.

Recently, my family stayed at the Jameson Inn in Rome, Georgia. We had checked into other places, but this place had the best rates during our visit in Rome. The room was very clean and comfortable upon arrival. In fact the whole inn seemed to be this way. The indoor pool was refreshing. It is in a sunroom-type area. The landscaping around the inn is very pretty. The breakfast was adequate for this type of place. There was waffles, biscuits with sausage gravy, cereal, bagels, muffins, oatmeal, grits, fruit, coffee, tea, and juice. The employees were friendly and helpful. If ever in Rome again, I will check into the Jameson Inn again.

“Ok...but not great.”

Stayed for 4 nights in July at the Jameson Inn in Rome , Ga. We booked there because of a sports event and it was one of the event hotels. On the up side: upon arrival we found a nice new looking hotel with beautiful landscaping. Front desk staff was very nice and we had quick check in. Wireless Internet in room worked great. ... but we found room to be just OK..not great. Everything appeared clean & tidy but furniture was a bit dated, and carpet ( dark green residential type that was matted) needed to be replaced and lights were so dim we actually bought new bulbs to replace the hotel bulbs during our stay. We did like the choice of art prints ( French vilages and countryside). The beds themselves were OK but not great, but they were triple sheeted with down comforters , however most of the pillows were old , smelly and flat and we had to ask for replacements. The bathroom was very small, but clean and the sink area was outside the shower & toilet area. Breakfast was not very appealing and although they tried to have a variety of items, everything was bland ,cheap and not appealing. Overall quality of the hotel just missed the mark. If the hotel had been $70-75 a night, it might have been worth it, but we were paying $100. a night and that seemed steep for the quality. We checked into booking at another hotel but there were lots of things going on in Rome at the time and everything was booked up. We stay at hotel approx. 7-10 nights a month and usually stay at Hilton Garden, Hampton, or Courtyards. The Jameson was Ok but didn't measure up. We would probably look elsewhere until they replace the carpet and make a few more adjustments.

“Great people, great beds!”

We've stayed at this hotel many times. We've had a few maintenance issues, a sink leak that had caused a lot of mildew. We called the front desk and were moved quickly to another room. This wasn't a problem because we had just checked in.
There were several other maintenance issues that the chain needs to work on. The people are great and will go out of their way to make you happy. Great comfy beds, tiny bathrooms but good room size. Everything that we needed. Breakfast is so so.... but the hotel is still a good value.
