The Ameritel Inn in Coeur d'Alene is an outstanding hotel. It is located close to the freeway but not so close as to be bothered by freeway noise. Some folks have commented on the manner in which it's necessary to access the hotel via a shopping center parking lot. Let me assure you, this is not a problem. The hotel stands out prominently and it's easy to locate.

In addition to being NEW and exceptionally CLEAN, the Ameritel Inn rooms are very well designed and have all the amenities most travelers require, including; king bed, separate sitting area with sofa, desk & chair (aeron-type), desk & floor lamp, refrigerator, micro wave oven, coffee maker, TV (viewable from both the bed and sitting area), chest/6 drawers, two bed tables/lamps, sink separate from bathroom, 3 phones (sitting area, bed & bathroom), 4 pillows (two foam rubber, two feather), outstanding breakfast and breakfast area and self-serve luggage carts. The parking is excellent and the staff was great.

The Ameritel Inn will definitely be my hotel selection on my next visit to Coeur d'Alene.

Am on an extended trip and have stayed in various hotels for the last five weeks. The Ameritel in Coeur d'Alene was the best overall by far. Good price, great room, quiet, good breakfast and clean as a whistle. Highly recommended.

The Coeur d’Alene AmeriTel is a nice place. We’ve stayed at several Coeur d’Alene hotels and consider the AmeriTel not only the classiest but also the best value for the money. Their rooms a large, the pool, lobby and fitness center are always sharp looking and the staff is attentive and helpful. They have a great free breakfast with fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, toast and all that stuff. One guy even asked for an omlett and they cooked it for him Wish I’d thought of that. They could use more than the 2 waffle machines but the wait wasn’t too bad.
I was able to book all three rooms about 5 weeks before the trip and they were nice enough to give me the online special although the system wouldn’t take my information. I recommend you always book at least a month ahead for any summer trips to Coeur d’Alene. The night we checked in we overheard a guy pay $210 for the last room in town.

The Resort was booked solid, and I was not looking forward to having to stay at the Ameritel Inn. However, I was surprised by how pleasant my business stay was. The front desk was very helpful. The business center has computers making it fast and easy to quickly check email. I was on a floor that seemed to have a youth sports team there for a tournament, and eventhough they had their posters taped up in the hallway corridor, they kept it quiet during the evening hours. I went to the Resort for my business meeting, had lunch at the Dockside, and dinner at the Beverly. Parking at the Resort was free. So, for the money, the Ameritel is not a bad way to go.
