I stayed at the hotel for two weeks while attending training. The staff at the hotel is somewhat hit or miss. Some of the staff members, especially the night auditor and the ladies that work the front desk in the morning are VERY helpful, however, the rest of the staff does not seem to give much thought to the concept of customer service.
The rooms are comfortable, and the beds offer a very good nights rest, however there are a few problems. Most notable is the air conditioning. Some rooms have systems with easily adjustable digital read outs for temperature control, however my room was not one of these. It had the old fashioned "blue/red" dial controls. This resulted in either being too cold or too hot all the time. And because the unit was not thermostatically controlled the fan runs constantly.
Second, the elevators must be the slowest ever. My room was on the sixth floor, and it would sometimes take over two minutes before an elevator would arrive. Heading to the lobby could take over a minute, once on the elevator, in some cases. Also, one of the elevators had extensive damage to the handrails and the floor tiles and there appears to be no attempt to repair the damage.
Third, the breakfast has got to be one of the worst affairs I have ever been too. The sausage patties are lukewarm at best and there is no attempt to conceal the fact that the scrambled eggs are of the powdered variety. The hard boiled eggs are cold, and the bread selection is lackluster.
Finally the Internet and phones have some serious issues. The speed of the Internet is acceptable, however the insane system to use the wireless is ridiculous. If you have multiple devices in a room, say a laptop, smartphone and an iPad, only one device can be logged in at a single time. The minute another device connects the other devices are disconnected. Also, no matter what you do, after every 12 hour period the system disconnects from all devices wether they are in use or not. I found myself having to use the room numbers of my colleagues that I knew did not have wireless devices in order to maintain connections on multiple devices. The phones system is also a mess. After only being in the hotel for a few days, I was suddenly unable to make 1-800 phone calls. I would just get a busy signal two digits before completing the phone number. I called the front desk and was given no explanation as to why the system was acting strangely, but was told the issue would be fixed in a few minutes, which it was. I just do not understand why these type of issues occur in this day and age.
Another minor issue was that I was not issued Elite member keys when I checked in. I am a Silver level member, and my membership number was given at the time of reservation, but when I checked in my status was not even acknowledged by the hotel staff. Imagine my suprise when I saw another individual with Elite status keys a few days later.
I would not recommend this hotel based on these issues. The only reason for the 2 point rating was the quality of the beds and the few individuals that were of assistance.

Thank you for staying with us and for writing a review. I remember the group you were with and all of the guests entirely! I wish you would have brought these concerns to our attention when you were staying with us so we could have had the chance to remedy them. I apologize that you found our staff and our air conditioning units to be inconsistent. I was able to investigate the concern you made in regards to our elevators and was unable to find the damage you reported with the exception of the handrail which we had replaced. I will take your comments in regards to breakfast to our hostesses to see how we can remedy this as well the ones regarding our wireless to our internet provider. However, please know that most people love that the hard boiled eggs are cold. Thank you for your review.
