It was a late minute father-daughter trip to Chicago and the hotels I normally stay in were booked due to so many conventions in town. Went to Trip Advisor and called China Doll Guest House and the owner Jim was so helpful and nice, we booked here. And when we arrived in Chicago from a long drive from Minnesota, we were totally overwhelmed with the set up at the China Doll. We just loved it and now by far my favorite destination when in Chicago. Location was fantastic and such a nice neighborhood that you can walk around and partake in local dining spots, pubs, etc.
Everything was such a plus that I can not think of any real negatives. Street side parking sometimes was a drive around the block, but it was fine.
The owners do a fantastic job and with all the directions inside so clear they make it so user friendly. As I am in the hospitality business myself, I know when management has gone the extra mile to make your stay so stress free and relaxing.
To my way of thinking, the China Doll Guest House is one of the top destinations that I have visited.
