I was invited here for my best friends daughter's birthday and after having read the reviews, I expected much worse. When I got to the hotel, I was surprised to see that except for the maids, everyone that works there is under the age of 30! So there were a few quirks in regards to finding my party when I arrived. I was told by my friend to go right to the water park and that the host would give me my wrist band as soon as I got there. My host was there but she had no idea where my party was. I knew that my friend had already checked in and that she had to be there. To make a long story short I found my friend on my own and she then walked me up to the room that she had booked for me. Im a nut about clean beds and so the moment I got to my room I took of the fitted bed sheet and searched for bed bugs...to my relief I didnt find any or evidence of them on either bed. My room and bathroom were both clean and of comfortable temperatures (this is a big thing for me being that im always cold!). So my daughter and I changed and made our way down to the party room where the party was getting started. The pizza we had was just okay, not the best but not the worst. My only complaint about the party room was that it was very cold!!! All the kids were soaking wet and then to come into a cold room was not much fun. Also their supply of towels is very limited. Each time I asked for one, they didnt have any ready.
As for the water park itself: The lazy river wasnt exactly as clean as I would have liked it to be. It was a bit murky to say the least. Every few hours the water park has a break and this is when I was told more chemicals are put into the water to keep it clean. Another thing I didnt like was that if you choose to just buy a day pass, the locker room have no showers!!! Which mean those that just walk in off the street are jumping in without a shower, and not to mention all of us too! The women's room only has two stalls and it was very messy in there. I also think their should be a limit as too how many people are allowed into the water park. I understand that these places can get very crowded on weekends but the amount of people there was over the top. The life guards on duty cant control the crowd of children there.
Overall, this is an average hotel to stay in. My room was clean, it has a mini fridge and microwave which I liked. Overall its an average hotel. While I didnt pay to stay there, I can say its very over priced and would never pay on my own to go back.
