I was going to visit an old friend in Evansville,. He advised me to book the Executive Inn. I was reluctant based on the reviews, but he said there had been a major remodeling, so I took his advice. From the minute I walked in, I was impressed. The desk clerk and bellman were so friendly and helpful. I thought I had booked a room, but I got a suite. It was beautiful, spotlessly clean and very attractively furnished. It was very quiet at night. I plan to visit again, and I will definitely stay at the Exec.

We had the jacuzzi suite, and it was clean, comfy and we had a great time. This was our 4th time there and will definately be going back. I saw no bugs sorry to say.. lol not really. I loved the pizza shop there, really great pizza, and the lounge was nice too.

Okay, I don't know how someone can deny that there's a bug problem at this hotel. I saw a roach scamper across the lobby while I was waiting for a shuttle. I had a dead roach in my room and I saw three more dead ones in the lobby the next morning. I say close the place down for a few days, bomb the place with bug killer and re-open it. The service was friendly and the room was above average (though not having a desk chair in the room, while having a desk, struck me as odd). The location in the center of downtown was nice and the shuttle was helpful, but I have a slight problem with bugs in any hotel that is supposed to be average or above.

After reading the reviews of this hotel I must say some of them are a bit excessive. My husband and I stayed there for two nights because the Casino Aztar Hotel was booked up. The hotel had very bad lighting. You could barely see to take a shower. The pizza place was decent and the pool was very nice. The hotel was within walking distance of the casino boat as long as you don't mind walking about a mile. Overall the location of the hotel is very nice but for the money I would rather stay at a different hotel.
