Due to an issue with my credit card, I expected to have a major discussion at check-in but the front desk staff was very understanding and extreemly helpful. They made several creative suggestions and we worked everything out. I made sure they had my updated contact info so they can find me if there are any billing issues. Thanks so much!!! (Oh, coming up from Tennessee, we were delighted to see snow on Saturday morning. Thanks for arranging that! :-)
I traveled with a friend to attend a conference. Our room was great - very clean with no smells. We settled right in. The sheets and pillows were terrific and the beds very comfortable. My only complaint was, since we are both tall, the toilet was small and so very low to the ground we felt like our knees would give way. The shower was hot and the water pressure wonderful. We were on the 3rd floor and when it was quiet, we could hear traffic and the people next door but not so much that it kept us awake. I was pleased to see 3 elevator bays - we never had to wait long for a ride up or down.
That said, the food was nothing special. The restaurant was okay and the staff seemed over worked. For dinner, no one ever offered to re-fill the water glasses. As a previous reviewer mentioned the breakfast buffet is expensive ($18) so we brought our own breakfast things. I would recommend you bring you own coffee. The packets in the room tasted like dishwater - no flavor at all and the Cafe stuff wasn't much better. If you prefer a dark roast - bring your own stuff! For lunch or dinner, there are several places to eat nearby, within walking distance. Mostly pizza or hamburgers but they were pretty good as we only went out one evening! We sat in the hotel bar on Sat. about 5pm for about 20 minutes and never saw bartender or wait staff. We ultimately walked on for dinner.
So, with the exception of the coffee issue, I would highly recommend this hotel! Apparently it is also near the second largest genealogy library in the country so I would really like to go back! Indulge!

We are glad we managed to arrange for snow! In fact, we haven't seen much of it this year, so you must have timed your visit just right... We're pleased you enjoyed our accommodations and your overall stay and hope you will have an opportunity to return. Your comments on the bar and restaurant are much appreciated as well. We are sorry we failed to deliver an experience on par with the rest of your stay, but assure you we are using your feedback to improve that component of our operation!
