Older place, kept clean but needs some updating. Housekeeping does a nice job but some signs of age in the room. One room had some peeling wallpaper from water leak around window. Both rooms needed carpet shampooed. Couch and chair in the living room old, couch not that comfy. Great bed though, lots of nice pillows. 2 TVs, good channel choice, some didn't have the greatest picture. Rooms warm, no cooling available this time of year but window does open and many were. Lobby comfortable and clean, elevators fast with little wait.

Small indoor pool and 2 small whirlpools plus exercise area. Great morning breakfast, didn't do the nightly cocktail party. Skywalk to Circle Centre Mall and beyond to convention center & dome.

Yes, $18 parking and long wait to get out of ramp annoying but parking is steep in downtown Indy.

Place would be fine discounted from an online site. Not sure its a deal at full price. There are many newer hotels downtown that are nicer.

I stayed at the Embassy Suites in downtown Indianapolis for two nights while on a business trip in late September.

My suite was roomy and clean. I appreciated the 2 free bottles of water that were set out when I arrived. The only thing about the room was that there was some mildew on the ceiling of the shower.

The location was great. Most downtown shopping, dining and sightseeing options were in easy walking distance. It's too bad parking is so expensive at the hotel ($18 per night for self park), though you get in-and-out privileges.

The excercise facilities were mediocre. There were a few pieces of cardio equipment and a stack of dumbells in a small room.

The free breakfast and happy hour (the evening "Manager's Reception") were nice. The breakfast was better than most free hotel breakfasts, including a cook-to-order omlet and waffle station.

All in all, this is a solid above average hotel, and I would stay there again.

This is one of the quietest hotels I have stayed at. The staff were very friendly and the free breakfast and happy hour were great.

However, I don't think I will ever book into any Embassy Suites hotel ever again. The reason, well I thought that I wasn't really bothered by heights. After 3 days I was almost crawling along the open balconies. I have developed a fear of heights at this hotel. The glass elevator seems to be partiularly cruel in the evil psychologist's (I mean architect's) designs.

I've stayed at dozens of US hotels in the past but hardly ever in downtown areas. I know what to enquire about now before I book another.

The attached photo is the view from my room door.

The rooms were nice, however the hotel was very crowded and it took a long time to get checked in. Construction was being done on the hotel and I'm not sure if it affected the elevators, nonetheless I waited at least 5 minutes each time for the elevator. One great aspect of the facility was the managers reception each night. The hotel offered an open bar from 5-7. I thought that since the drinks were free they wouldn't be very good. I stand corrected. Drinks were great and got to meet a lot of great people. Overall, I don't think that the hotel was worth the price compared to other downtown accomodations at less than half the price. Mediocre at best.
