We stayed here overnight and dined in the restaurant on July 26 during a cross-country move. The whole experience made the daily 9-hr drives before and after, manageable. We loved our room - the Suite Dreams - and its homey feel and one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in.
Dinner was pricey but excellent. We shared the seared Ahi tuna app which was crusted with black sesame and seared to perfection - perfect rare - with an Asian noodle salad and dipping sauce. For the main course I ordered the crab cakes (was told they're a house specialty) and though they were expensive ($30) they were large and probably the best I've ever eaten. They come with a side, your choice of a starch.
We tried the sweet potato fries and indeed they were great. Wines were pretty severely marked up.
The Inn and restaurant is situated in a beautiful, forested residential neighborhood only a couple blocks from the beautiful Lake Michigan. You can opt to get your wine or cocktail to go, and stroll through the neighborhood to the beautiful beach nearby.
