My extended family and I stayed at the Blue Door Cottages for a family reunion. We had 10 children ranging in age from 2 to 12 and 11 adults. We had a wonderful time. The cottages were very clean and decorated in bright pretty colors. The beds were comfortable and had nice soft sheets. The pool area was very clean and comfortable. The kids swam all day. There, also, was a grass area near the pool where people could play beanbags and other games. The staff was very friendly and helpful. At night we had campfires and marshmallow roasts. We were able to make supper every night for our group using the barbecues by our cottages or by using the stoves and microwaves in our cottages. The were plenty of dishes, bowls, and pots and pans to use. We, also, were able to eat outside together using the large picnic tables at the back of the property. The negatives were few. When we checked into cottage 13 we were surprised to find bunk beds in the one room. That was not mentioned on the website. It was okay for us because my children were old enough to use the beds. For someone with smaller children or adults uncomfortable with sleeping in a bunk bed, it would have been bad. Also, this is not a hotel, so you have to pay extra if you want new towels every day. If you stay there for 6 days or more they will exchange your towels once for free. They do not give you shampoo or soap for the shower. The firepits for the campfire in the back of the property were fun for our group, but they were within feet of two of the cottages. I can imagine if a group was up late in the evening enjoying the fire that it would be loud for the people staying in those two cottages, if they were trying to sleep. All in all the Blue Door Cottages are a wonderful place. My family and I would not hesitate to stay there again. It is the perfect place for anyone wanting to have a family reunion.

" Awesome" atmoshere, beautiful top notch clean, clean room, close to everything. Jennifer and her partners whom run this resort are the best and most friendliest people you can meet!!!! I have been a firefighter (professional) for 21 years and no lie this was cozy, lovely, and most relaxing I have been for a long time. and you know what the best thing was the cleaning woman were awesome too. DO Not hesitate, book now they fill up quick.

Our family tried Blue Door Cottages for our annual Memorial Day gathering and were very happy with the accommodations. The beds were fantastic and the studios, bungalows and cottages were perfect for an area where most of the action is outdoors.

We liked the bright, clean look of all the cottages. Stowage space was a little tight and landscaping is still underway, but Blue Door owners are working hard to create a first class family gathering place and we can testify that it's well underway.

Our connected generations were very happy with the wireless access and my Dad already has his cottage picked out for next year.

We look forward to more development of the property and the opportunity to stay there again.
