Very, clean and accommodating for the price. Great location close to many stores, HyVee, Target etc, and restaurants. Manager is super welcoming, check in process if flawless. Free WIFI is adequate for basic needs, beds & pillows are some of the best we have slept on! Breakfast very pleasant surprise. Full compliment of foods from cold cereal to fresh fruit, hot eggs & sausage, waffles etc.. Fairfield Inn Dubuque is very clean and friendly. Very good value for a comfortable stay.

We have stayed in the hotel now for the past 2 summers when we have made the trip of 400 miles from home. The service is wonderful, clean rooms! Excellent breakfast! Will definitely book again! The pool area is clean.

My husband and I, along with our son; we stayed at the Fairfield Inn. Being that it was out first time so far away from home (Honolulu, HI), this hotel was great for us. This trip was to accompany/drop off our son to college at the University of Dubuque. Hotel very close to shopping malls, University of Dubuque (a plus), varieties of eating places, etc. If we plan to come back to Dubuque, IA Fairfield Inn will be our goto hotel accommodation. Our hotel room and establishment was clean, well kept; all staff very friendly and courteous.

Room tip: When I booked our hotel room, I asked for a feather-free room, which was exactly what we got. Our room was on the 2nd floor on the street/highway side. It was very quiet.

This was probably the most friendly hotel we have stayed at in a long time. We were warmly greated at the door and from there it just got better. Not being familiar with Dubuque, the staff gave us directions and info that only locals can provide. Its an older Fairfield (I think) but it was spotlessly clean with a very comfortable bed which contributed to a very restful night. If your lookiing for fancy rooms and fancy appointments this is not your place but for value and cleanliness its top notch. It has an Olive Garden restaurant just across the parking lot and within easy walking distance.

Room tip: I always ask to stay away from the elevator (sometimes too noisy).

Hard to believe but no: even the usual little crummy Fairfield Inn-level workout room isn't present here. And given its location, running isn't really an option either. I think some room should be found for that. Other than that is is a standard Fairfield. Suggested nearby restaurant: Champps, two minute drive away.

Dear Tigmet,
Thank you for your review of the Fairfield Inn Dubuque. I apologize for the inconvenience caused due to our hotel not having a fitness room. However, we do offer our guests passes to our local YMCA which is able to provide more equipment than we would ever be able to. We have received a lot of positive feedback from our guests who are even able to attend Zumba and other popular classes at the YMCA. I hope that on your next trip to the area, you will be able to take advantage of this as well.

Sincerely,
Connie J.
