My husband and I stayed at the Red Roof Lexington South December 21, 2006. We had been visiting relatives in Ohio and were on our way back to Florida. I booked our reservation online through the Red Roof website. They offered the best deal for our one night stay. When we arrived, the front desk lady was very nice and gave us our room keys. She gave us some information on where to eat, and it turns out that there are a ton of restaurants within 5 minutes of the hotel. We wound up eating at the Regatta, a seafood restaurant right down the street (I would reccommend it). The room was very clean and exactly what I had expected. I think they just renovated the hotel because everything was immaculate. There was a thermostat in our room in addition to the window unit, a nice desk and chair, a large TV and a king bed. We got a smoking room and it only slightly smelled like smoke (usually, smoking rooms smell horrible!). We had everything we needed, I think the only thing I might have needed was some conditioner. Checkout took 30 seconds, my husband ran in while I waited in the truck. We would stay at this hotel again, it was only 10 minutes from I-75, close to lots of restaurants and shopping, nice clean rooms, and all for less than $75 (after tax) a night!
