Been 3 times for a wonderful Dog show. the shoiw is great, but the motel is terrible. Beds and room nasty, no air-conditioners during the spring show. Dirty bathroom, toilet overflowed and they GAVE ME A PLUNGER to fix the problem. Will find another hotel close to the show and stay somewhere else.

Back when the hotel opened a long time ago..it was one of "the places " to go in Lexington. Over the years the hotel has been left to trash..it no longer holds the class and style that it once did..which is a shame, people that come in from out of town that have stayed there years ago are shocked by the look of it the minute they pull in the parking..the out side looks like a cheap hotel and is in bad need of a makeover...the rooms are due for new furniture...and although the Speedway Lounge has been "updated" it still looks terrible...come on guys, give the Ol' Inn the glamour it once had, make the Speedway look like a place you want to spend the evening in, and just flat get rid of the two "little mexico" bars...That alone has runined the Contenental Inn....There is a Mexican bar on Alexandar they can go to..

The rooms stunk, nasty, refrigators dirty, no trash cans in room, had to go to front desk to get washcloths and towels. Bathtub did not drain properly, ran over, then the toilet backed up and ran over. Yes we had to change rooms with 3 small children, elevators out of order, keys would not unlock doors, woke up at 3:00 a.m. in the morning from all the music, screaming, yelling and fighting in the parking lot, because of 3 bars all right there together, security guard called to our friends room he went to her room with a beer in his hand? You feel real safe? 5:00 a.m. woke up by wake up call that was not ask for. Pool was very dirty looking and alot of serious horseplay with no guards or supervision. This is the hotel from Hell. Do not stay if you want to sleep or keep your children safe. The hotel needs to be shut down and investigating for everything!!!!!!. Just look around and consider before you stay, You are in for a nightmare!!!!

I stayed at this hotel in February 2004 for 3 days...the staff was very helpful, moved my room so as to be near the pool, etc. While the hotel isn't new, it was clean, comfortable, and well furnished (fridge in room, TV and remote in working order, etc.). I had no complaints and will stay at the Continental again.
I've had much less pleasant stays in several "upscale" chain hotels.
PS-for swimming enthusiasts, the pool was a delight!
