“Good Location, Friendly Staff, but a Little Worn...”

Stayed here for a conference the second week of September. The hotel was easy to get to, and is in a very good location downtown. Lots of places to eat, bars etc...

The staff was pretty friendly and helpful, and the food was excellent at the hotel. They did a great job with the conference.

The hotel is a little on the worn side though. The rooms are not really up to standards for a Radisson. It looks like this was another hotel years ago, and Radisson probably bought it and tried to bring it up to speed.

The rooms were clean. The bathtub was pretty beat up though.

I did not care for the Sleep by Number beds they have gone over to. They should have kept with the regular beds they used to have, they were much more comfortable.

I would probably stay here again.

No matter where you stay, everyone should visit this area. It's fantastic, from Keeneland to the restaurants and downtown nightlife to the countryside surrounding it all. But the Radisson is not so hot...

We actually live just 30 minutes away, but when we are going out in downtown Lexington we sometimes book a room for convenience and to avoid driving home late. So the big plus for the Radisson is location, right on Triangle Park, attached by pedway to Rupp Arena and Victorian Square, in walking distance to so many great places mid-city. Plus the free parking garage is worth at least half the price we usually pay. But if you can't book on priceline or other low-cost option, I would stay at the Hyatt (which can also sometimes be grabbed for under $60 if there aren't events scheduled) instead.

Problems: The pool/hot tub area are unusably tiny, the sleep number beds are mildly uncomfortable, the bathrooms are the plainest and smallest type, you get a lot of noise up to at least the 7th floor.

Rooms were nicely sized and very quiet. Bathroom was very adequate, bed was comfortable, and the room had all the standard amenities. Hotel overall was decent. Small pool, decent workout room, ok lobby. My room chair was broken, and only one public use computer with internet for everyone. I tried to recycle some bottles, and they looked at me like i was from outerspace.

I chose the Radisson as the place to put my wedding guests because of it's location and blocked a set of rooms for Friday and Saturday night. They promised to call if it looked like the hotel was filling up. But now 3 weeks away I find out that the hotel is over sold and my guests can't get any rooms. If you are considering using this facility for any type of event, wedding or otherwise, seriously reconsider!! I would avoid this place at all costs.

“Don't Get Your Wallet Stolen by a Hotel Employee Like I Did”

Was in town for a Keeneland race weekend with several friends and stayed in one of the junior suites at the Radisson. The stay was going well until we ordered cots up to our room our first night there. I had placed my wallet in my shoe as I always do while traveling and when I woke up the next day it was gone!

After running through the chain of events from the night before, I figured there was a good chance the wallet was stolen by the employee who brought the cots to the room. Sure enough, checking my bank transactions online that morning, there were several transactions at Walmart on my credit cards totaling over $500 (to go along with the cash and gift cards stolen from my wallet as well)! Promptly, I contacted hotel security and reported the issue. A police report was filed along with a report of the description of the suspected employee. Luckily, Walmart tracks each transaction by video and several weeks later the police were able to identify the Radisson employee in the video.

My room was comped and I was told by the hotel they would work to reimburse me for my losses.

Six weeks later, I am still dealing with issues from my stolen wallet. The hotel has been far from helpful, always saying they are working on the issue, but still nothing has been resolved. To compound that, a friend stayed at the hotel recently and saw that employee still working at the hotel.

I've never been one to be concerned for my safety at a hotel or overly worried about my personal belongings while in the room. Unfortunately, that has changed since my stay at the Lexington Radisson.

I would advise any travellers deciding between hotels in Lexington to look elsewhere. If you are going to be spending that kind of money for a hotel room, there are numerous other hotels that put more of premium on their guests' safety and satisfaction.
