We had a very pleasurable stay here at the Hampton in Louisville. The front desk staff was accomodating and super friendly. Comfy beds and super clean rooms. LOVED the hot breakfast every morning, high speed internet with a printer, nice indoor pool. The lobby was really nice, it was like having 3 living rooms in one lobby!! The only noise I experienced were the ambulances going by to the nearby Jewish Hospital, otherwise pretty tolerable. Walking distance to great restaurants on Main and Market streets, four blocks to 4th Street live, there blocks to the Convention Center. I definitely recommend this hotel for the value.

I am a Hilton Honors member who is in Louisville very often, and I always stay at the Hampton Downtown if I can. This property has been through two or three identities (Doubletree, Clarion), but finally seems to have hit its stride.

It is a standard Hampton, solid on service, but nothing spectacular. I does have a bar, unlike many Hamptons, but hours seem spotty. Nice pool, no whirlpool, small but free business center.

Rooms are standard Hampton, but new and comfortable. Staff has always been pleasant on my many visits. Rates are often high compared to my experience with other Hamptons, but with 4 other higher-priced business hotels within a five-minute walk, they can get away with being just below the other rates.

The biggest drawback is street noise on the front side of the hotel (even numbered rooms). For some reason on my last few stays, there has seemed to be an inordinate number of Harleys on the street just outside (odd for a business district location). Get an odd-numbered room if this bothers you.

All in all, I have gone back many times, and will continue to do so.

I was looking for a relatively inexpensive room in the downtown area and chose this one mainly because of its location. Was I glad I did! Free parking, free hot breakfast and a free shuttle to basically anywhere in downtown area. Our shuttle took us to 4th street for dinner and picked us back up. We didn't have to walk the 4 blocks in the freezing cold and windy temperatures. Room was $119 + tax; well worth the spacious room with double beds with bedding comparable to the Marriott. Beautiful and comfortable lobby and seating areas. Staff very accomodating and friendly. I will definitely stay here again.

I was at this hotel because my father was in the hospital. During my stay I was asked several times by different hotel staff how was my Father doing and was there anything additional they could do for me during my stay. The kindness I received touch me in way that I can't put into words. The hotel itself surpassed my expections from the decor in the lobby which were inviting and upscale. The room was very comfortable and after a long day of talking to doctors, the shower was just the ticket! I not sure of the noise the other reviewers are talking about, this was the quietest hotel I ever stayed, until I went to breakfast in the morning I thought I was the only person on the second floor, never saw anyone, never heard anyone. it has a great location and the shuttle will take you anywhere downtown. Loooking for a great hotel THIS IS IT!!!!!
