Date: Sept. 19-22, 2007... This bed and breakfast had a GREAT location in Boothbay Harbor. The host Les and Deb were very nice. The breakfast was your usual "bed and breakfast" style breakfast.. The eggs were in some type of casserole and everything was made to heat up in the oven...Sometimes they try too hard to make things fancy..just keep it simple. We were staying in the Admiral's suite for the first three days which was great and had fantastic views of the harbor, but because the Admiral's suite was already booked we had to move to the Quarter Deck suite on the last night. This room was not as nice.. It smelled of moth balls and there was mold growing in the shower stall. At $185 per night this room was very overpriced, had no view at all , and was located next to the lobby which was very noisy. I would stay again in the Admiral's Suite, but pass on the Quarter Deck Suite.

We just happened upon this B&B before the start of their "season" and we couldn't have been happier. The hosts (Les & Deb) made us feel right at home, giving us useful information and making sure we had a wonderful stay in Booth Bay Harbor. The room that we stayed in (the Lilac room-#7) was quaint, and immaculate with a beautiful view of the harbor. This 2nd floor room had a slider, full bath, and gas fireplace (as well as a/c for summer guests). The best thing was the breakfast-it was absolutely wonderful with home made pastries, bread, oatmeal (again, all home made) and then a hot entree for the morning-ours was a vegetable quiche with a side of ham & pineapple if desired. They have a wonderful solarium as well as a front porch fully equipped with everything that you might need-and did I mention the afternoon pastries? Again, home made. Our only regret was that we could only stay one night. We will certainly go back and stay at this wonderful B&B.

“Fantastic Place to Stay!!”

We just returned from a 4 night stay at this wonderful inn and we wished we could have stayed longer!! The location is excellent, you can walk all over Boothbay Harbor. The view from the top floor is beyond belief, the owner (Les) and all of his staff are very special people and this is just the best place we have ever stayed!! We loved watching the lobster boats in the harbor from our window and from the deck. You can see THREE lighthouses blinking from Room #4 and the sunrise is spectacular!! The fireplace helped to keep our room toasty in the evening. Breakfasts are unique, delicious and "presented" to you each morning in a beautiful sunny solarium.....there is a buffet, and an entree and even a dessert each morning!! Treat yourself special and stay here :)!! We loved it and will go back!!

Our first trip to Maine, and we couldn't have chosen a better place to stay! The hosts of the B&B (only 7 rooms) were great; and our second floor room (#4), with our own outside entrance, had a bedroom and balcony with the most incredible view of the harbor! Breakfast is from 8:00 to 9:30 each day, with homemade pastries and cooking, something different every day. The location is just a block walk to shops, the piers, restaurants, etc. Les had many "tips" for driving tours, sights, and things to do. The bathroom was a little small, but after all the inn is almost 200 years old. Our stay exceeded our expectations, and would recommend this if you're looking for the true flavor of a Maine coastal Village.

“Home Away From Home”

1830 Admiral's Quarters Inn

We've been going to this area for a while now but never stayed at a B&B. One year my Husband & I wanted to be in town for the Windjammer Festivities so we walked into the Admiral's Quarters Inn and the minute we stepped in we were greeted by the hosts, Les & Deb Hallstrom, and they made us feel like we were home. Deb's breakfasts are awesome and delicious and different each day, Les' wit remarkable, and their great staff wonderful. Since we've been going here, we have met such wonderful friends and we meet here every year in October. Once we walk into the Admiral's Quarters Inn, we never want to go home. Because of our hosts, our friends and my Husband and I would love to live here. The people are just super.
