Our friends and us stayed at 1802 House at the start of our Maine trip. Our hosts were helpful, welcoming, acommodating, knowledgeable about many aspects of the region and happy to share with us helpful tips. The facility is very pleasant and clearly reflects the desire of the hosts to do all they can to ensure a pleasant stay. It is in pleasnt, grassy, riverine surroundings. The hosts are relatively new owners and are clearly striving to improve an already excellent place and send it to the next level. Now even if all of the other things weren't true, which, of course they are, it would still be worth coming to 1802 to experience the breakfast. It was fabulous, and we were treated to a fabulous fruit cup, with magically cinamon sweetened yogurt. This was followed with a generous slice of ham, as well as a "Yankee" scramble with potato and eggs. We were also treated to a freshly baked banana nut bread loaf, which was sliced and wrapped for us to take along for our trip. Our trip was then graced by the aroma of that incredible-tasting bread for hours into the morning after we left -- too soon, too soon. We recommend 1802 unqualifiedly.
