Great Bed and Breakfast with a view of the ocean. The innkeepers were very personable, helpful, and friendly. Breakfast was great, and was served very quickly. The decor for our room was a bit overwhelming to the eye (#2 the Alfred). The room was clean and the view of the ocean was a definate perk of the room. The absolute best part of the stay was the hosts themselves. They were great company, and were full of stories and jokes.

My wife and I stayed here from June 1st through June 3rd. The inn was surrounded by lush and fragrant gardens the beauty of which we had not experienced in ages. We were pleasantly greeted by Doug, one of the innkeepers. Check-in was swift and cordial, and Doug was most gracious at orienting us to the inn’s many intricacies as well as area restaurants.

We had the Anna-Marie room, with a fantastic ocean view and we left the windows open to allow the nice cool sea breezes in. We slept very well each night. Doug gracefully honored our request for a breakfast without eggs by making the most delicious blueberry pancakes we’ve had in ages. At breakfast, we met Andy, a lively, entertaining, and funny host. The delicious breakfast and lively entertaining conversation was a terrific way to start the day.

My wife, normally a night owl not an early riser, got up early to take a spectacular photo of the sunrise from the Lookout.

Among the inn’s many features were its location just a short step from the Marginal Way. We walked this scenic path to Perkins Cove and also to the town center. We ate at a lobster pound in adjacent Cape Neddick and enjoyed its shore dinner. We also ate at 98 Provence which had fine food in a delightfully romantic setting.

When we had to move on, to Camden and Freeport later in our vacation, we actually left Rockmere wishing we could have stayed longer. Andy and Doug were the nicest hosts you could hope for. We will be visiting Ogunquit again in the future and staying at the Rockmere- we liked Ogunquit and Rockmere that much.

My neice and I had a wonderful stay at Rockmere Lodge on June 7 & 8, 2008. Andy was a wonderful Innkeeper with a great sense of humor and made us feel right at home. Doug, too, welcomed us like we were family. Doug made the most delicious breakfast with all the food groups and Andy served it to us on the front Porch that overlooks the ocean. Our room had a great view of the ocean and we were only a few hundred yards from the Marginal Way. We walked into Ogunquit and Perkins Cove, never used our car once we arrived. We definitely plan on going back for another visit probably during the fall or winter. Anyone who want to visit Ogunquit should give Rockmere Lodge a try, they won't be disappointed. Our many thanks to Andy and Doug for making our mini vacation extra special.

My boyfriend took me to Ogunqit for a getaway weekend with a two night stay at the Rockmere. During our stay we got engaged. Andy and Doug, the owners were two of the most fun people I've ever met. They made our stay and weekend extra special and memorable. The food was great and the overall atmosphere was even better. I recommend the Rockmere for anyone anytime. Great time and experience. Thanks Doug and Andy!

“Relaxing at Rockmere Lodge”

Rockmere Lodge

We had a fantastic time at Rockmere Lodge. Our hosts, Andy and Doug, were tremendous. They were funny, sweet, caring and simply charming. The Lodge is in a quiet area of town and we woke up to birds singing every morning we were there.

The Lodge is about a half mile from either Perkins Cove or Ogunquit Center and could be reached by the walking path that is directly on the ocean. This was simply wonderful. We walked the path many times to enjoy the sounds and views.

Our room had a great view of the ocean and was nice and clean.

Our first night there we sat in the patio area of the Lodge talking to our hosts. We took a walk around their gardens. It was wonderfully relaxing.

We would recommend Rockmere to everyone and we hope to make visiting Rockmere an annual event.
