This inn is the best of both worlds: You get the caring owners and family feel of a bed and breakfast, but with the great prices of a motel. We were driving through Camden, and stopped to get a room there, but they were out of our price range. The clerk there referred us to Schooner Bay, adding that anything inside the Camden city limits would be much more expensive. We got a big room with two queen beds, mini-fridge, and breakfast table for about $120 after tax. Great deal.
The room furniture wasn't modern, but I wouldn't call it outdated. It was vintage (and beautiful). (The owners also mentioned that all the rooms had a different decor, so that's interesting.) It had a flat-screen TV (as with most places) and a mini-fridge. Also, we got real towels instead of those over-bleached, scratchy hotel towels most places have. The owners/desk managers were very accommodating and extremely nice. It also has a great location; right outside of Camden and close to all there is to see in the area.
***This was literally the cleanest hotel/motel room I've ever stayed in. Even fancy places like the NYC Sheraton weren't as clean. I felt right at home.
Literally the only complaint I have is that there was no elevator, but that's a minuscule problem. As far as the actual room goes, this definitely ranks in the top of all hotel stays I've ever had.
