The problem we had with our stay at Inn Britannia was that it was too short! It was the first time for our daughter (3 yo) to stay at a B&B, and we had no idea whether she would enjoy it, it turned out she had a great time, and so did we. We stayed in the "housekeeping" apartment, which we highly recommend for small families - there is plenty of space to stretch out, and for our daughter to run around while we were inside; you also get a lot of privacy, everything you need is in the apartment - stove, refrigerator, books, games, TV, Wi-Fi ....if you decide to stay in; we actually spent a lot of time just relaxing in the garden, which was beautiful. We would lay in the hammock, and our daughter would be just fascinated watching the chickens that the innkeepers Susan and Karen have (fresh eggs for breakfast!), Karen even let her hold an egg that was still warm, and she dropped it....Although breakfasts were not included for apartment guests, once we heard about the dishes made with fresh eggs, we actually paid to have breakfast in the dining room on two mornings, and they were so good - those eggs tasted so much better than the ones from stores, and those freshly baked muffins......With our daughter being so young, we didn't really try to go everywhere and see everything on this trip, and we felt there was so much more that we hadn't explored in Maine - if we get to go back, I know where we'll be staying.
