Our stay at the Inn Britannia stay was an absolutely perfect slice of Great Britain and as the name "Britannia" implies "A female personification of Great Britain", Caren and Susan have re-created an authentic experience for those who have both visited Great Britain and for those who have not.
From our first encounter with our hosts, my wife and I having arrived late in the evening, we were made to feel very welcome and at home. We were shown our rooms (we had a suite) and were then given a tour of the accommodations. Their home was our home and their hospitality was wonderful.
After a sound night sleep, in our very comfortable room and bed, we woke to the smell of fresh brewing coffee which was wafting through the air and hallways. We rose, got refreshed and then sat in the parlor sipping coffee and soaking in the surrounding decor of early century England. The sun was bright and the flower gardens outside welcomed us as we walked through them, stopping briefly to greet the already busy chickens who had made fresh eggs for us.
Breakfast was served at 8:30 and it was absolutely scrumptious.
Both Caren and Susan are accomplished cooks with recipes from there many travels abroad (they have a recipe book you which we purchased).
There is an ocean access from the Inn within a short walk through the woods which we enjoyed and they told us of many surrounding things to do and see.
We will definitely go back again, and our memory of this authentic slice of Britain will be one we will always cherish.
Sincerely,
Lynn and Joe
