My husband and I enjoyed dinner at Varano's in August. The service was fast and friendly with large portions. We enjoyed the food we ordered quite a bit and wouldn't hesitate to eat there again if we were in the area.

Lucianna & I have been fortunate to have enjoyed 4 trips to Italy.we have eaten in Pienza,Montalchino,Orvieto,Siena,Ravello & any many other large &small towns.That is why we truly enjoy our visits to Varano's over the recent years. Jay Sylvester's creations are superb!At our last visit this september we had the Fried Zucchini and the vitello Orvieto. It was as if we were back in Toscana.The super tuscan wine M.J. recomended was a perfect match to the meal and my martini was "Very Dusty".You can't beat a combo of Jay's wonderful food and MJ"s efficient service

My husband and I visit Wells every Fall. We always look forward to dining at Varano's. The food is consistently excellent, the service is outstanding, and the atmosphere make it truly delightful dining experience!

A longer than promised wait for a table, an incredibly noisy dining room and indifferent service clouded our experience at Varano's. And somehow $18.95 for a plate of linquine (overcooked) and sausage seems a bit pricey to me, especially when it doesn't include a salad. In fairness, however, my friends thought their shellfish over linquine dish was the best thing they had every eaten, regardless of price!
