My wife and I and our small dog stayed in this hotel for a brief getaway. We booked it because it offered a pool and spa, and because it is dog friendly. February is the offseason for this hotel, and there were only a few other guests staying here during our visit.
When we arrived we were booked into a "suite" that was really two separate adjoining rooms. When we opened the door to each room we were overpowered with the smell of must and stale cigarette smoke, despite having booked a non smoking room. The staff person on duty was very helpful and we ended up in a room with a hot tub. This was also called a suite, but it was a single room with no place to sit. However the tub was nice, the room had no unpleasant aroma, and the hotel made an exception to their policy of no pets in the spa suite, once I promised not to let my dog in the tub.
The helpfulness of the staff did rescue what might have been an intolerable stay, but the hotel has a shabby feeling, and we ended up cutting our three night vacation down to two nights. The shower was lukewarm, but when I asked them to turn up the water temperature, they did so. Unfortunately the pool heater was broken, so my wife did not use the pool.
The hotel breakfast is well below the standards of many hotels, but since it came "free" with the room, I can't complain.
Overall, we found the staff friendly and supportive, but we will not stay in this hotel again.
