I suggest you take advantage of the great restaurants in Baltimore and only dine at the hotel restaurant as a last resort. The food is "OK," but not great. I normally don't expect much from a hotel restaurant, but considering the quality of most of the other amenities exceed that of competing hotels in the area I expected the restaurant would as well. My first meal there was the Sea Bass. Although the fish itself was decent, the menu indicated that it came with asparagus on the side. In actuality, there were only three tiny spears placed on the plate as if it were a garnish. I asked for more asparagus and they charged me! I immediately informed my waitress that it’s rather ridiculous to expect customers to think 3 spears of asparagus constitutes as a side. On another occasion I order a classic bacon cheeseburger and some spicy aioli for my fries. When it finally came (20 minutes later) it didn't have the bacon, nor did it come with the sauce. The waitress didn't even offer me ketchup! It took another 5 to 10 minutes to bring my bacon, but when she did eventually bring the bacon there was still no sauce...At this point I couldn’t refrain from uttering "Are you serious right now!?" She swiftly apologized, which I appreciated (I mean, I'm not a monster!). The sauce finally came once I was halfway finished with my meal.
Ok, last rant about the restaurant. Some colleagues and I (4 in total) went there for a quick business lunch because one colleague in particular loves their "CHOP CHOP" salad. I don't enjoy salad, but the inflection with which she says the name of the salad is priceless....."CHOP CHOP!" Let me preface this complaint by telling you the restaurant was not busy at all when we were there, and plenty of staff were just standing around. The food was pretty good, but it took a few attempts for the wait staff to bring us what we actually ordered…maybe they should try writing things down; novel thought, I know. I ordered the salmon which came on a bed of spinach and was covered with a tasty white wine beurre blanc. It was really good! However, the appetizer we ordered never came, multiple orders were not delivered as ordered, condiments were provided incorrectly or not at all (one person asked for mayonnaise and was given ketchup, another wasn’t given dressing with her salad...not the CHOP CHOP salad. Oh, I could go on and on, but I think you get the point. I will say this, the omelet bar at breakfast is pretty cool. Typically, I like to sleep in as late as possible when I can, but when I have the time in the morning I try to swing by the restaurant for a delicious omelet.
