Our whole family fell in love with the cream of crab soup last trip when we stopped for lunch on the beach. This trip we stopped for dinner. We didn't have a wait for a table since we always dine around 5-6pm. Unfortuantely we were seated at a table without an umbrella but the staff hunted around for one that would fit our particular table. It did not tilt and with the sun being lower in the sky it was a bit difficult to see even with sunglasses. Note that most other outside tables were well shaded. The kids ate light with crab soup and cheese sticks which filled them up quite nicely. I had the mahi mahi special which was way more than I could eat. The roasted potatoes were wonderful and even the green beans were delish. My hubby had the crabcakes but they were dissapointing, rather mushy and had a odd tart taste behind that of the old bay. He wasn't pleased with them. I have to admit that I don't think either entree was worth the inflated dinner prices charged (both were $10 higher than we would have been charged in at other locations). I still like Mackeys but from now we will limit ourselves to soup and sandwiches at lunch time.
