“Great weekend getaway!”

I just returned from a night at the Ashley Manor and couldnt have been happier with my last minute decision. Pat and Vince were so friendly and helpful. Our room (King George) was wonderful, with a king size bed, working fireplace and jacuzzi. They had menus available of restaurants in the area to help us decide where to eat. For breakfast we had juice, coffee, mufins, fruit cabobs, and apple cinnamon pancakes with sausage, all delicious! Before we left Pat was kind enough to show us some of the rooms that were vacant. They were all beautiful with their own unique charm. I cant wait to go back and stay in all of the rooms! A great place to get away and relax!

We just returned from Cape Cod and spent two nights at Ashley Manor. Patricia and Vince, the innkeepers, were extremely gracious and competent hosts. They helped us arrange a day trip to Nantuckett and recommended an excellent restaurant. The facility was immaculate and in ideal conditon especially since it was built in 1690. The breakfasts were superb. No negatives at all. Rates are moderate.

My husband and I stayed at the Ashley Manor in Barnstable last week and had a wonderful time. This was actually our 2nd stay this year as we discovered this little piece of heaven over Valentine's day. The room's are wonderful decorated with Antique's and yet very functional. Very Charming! Our Hosts Vince and Pat could not have been nicer. Vince's Breakfasts were yummy- Fresh made croissants/Muffins, Assorted Fruit course and a hot entree (the cheese and bacon souffle was my personal favorite) very peaceful breakfast on the terrace over looking the garden - we had a great time watching the birds come to the bird feeders. Several nice restaurants were recommended for Dinner both the Red Pheasant and the Naked Oyster were delightful. We celebrated with their Romantic Massage package and had a couples massage in our room from the 'Pampered Mermaids' What a great treat!! Most relaxing massage I'd had in a longgg time! We stayed in the Ashely suite and it has a Jacuzzi for 2 and a large Shower for two as well. The Ashley is adjacent to the main house with a separate entrance for privacy. All the rooms are very nice and if your lucky Pat will give you a little tour and explain the history of the house. We will definitely be back and I would recommend this place to anyone wanting a nice romantic getaway!

“Another great experience at the Ashley”

Having loved the Ashley during our visit during summer 03 (first to the Cape, and one of 3 Inns we stayed at during that trip), my wife and I decided to return for a week stay this summer. We booked last minute (luckily they had room available still for a full week) at Ashley since it was the best of the 3 during our last visit, and were lucky enough to get the "Ashley Suite" again. Arriving, we found the Inn had changed hands. Just when we thought a place we'd been to before and loved couldn't get any better, we were thrilled at how much even better this experience was. Vince and Pat are the best hosts we've ever had (and we'd stayed at B&B's in Ireland (too many to count), the West coast and Northern Michigan). They made sure every minute was great, from the gourmet breakfasts (Vince never ran out of ideas...and we challenged him for 7 mornings...) to the tips on where to eat and visit (the Old Yarmouth Inn, Amaris, and the Barnstable Restaurant&Tavern were absolutely outstanding suggestions). Room was spotless after daily care from their assistants. Vince even offered to join me for a round of golf at the Hyannis Golf Club. The greens fees were great ($46 for 18 with cart), Vince let me borrow a "second hand" set of Callaway's (better than mine at home...) and he even hit 16 of 18 fairways to prove his mettle!
Can't say enough great things about the Ashley and our hosts. It's a short walk to the Mattakeese marina (Morning and night walks down there are great), and central to hitting all the great spots on the Cape (Hyannis to get the ferries to Nantucket, Sandwhich to see the Heritage gardens, Provincetown for some amazing atmosphere/art/whale watching tours, etc. etc. etc.). Beaches at Sandy Neck (kind of rocky, but quiet and along some beautiful sand dunes) and Craigville (very sandy and great for people watching/families) were great afternoon spots and are each only 10 minutes from the Ashley...choose Cape Cod Sound or the Atlantic!
Can't wait to get back in '07, if not sooner or in the fall for the color changes!

My husband and I have just returned from a three day stay at Ashley Manor. We found the inn a great place to relax. The entire inn is tastefully decorated, our room was clean, the bed was comfortable and it had nice bed linen. The breakfast each morning was a delicious meal served outside on the patio.
The new innkeepers have been there for a year. They were friendly and helpful. They were very sincere about wanting us to enjoy our stay. They gave us some terrific suggestions and recommendations about points of interest in the area, things to do. and places to eat. They helped us with directions and reservations.
We would definately stay here again.
