This hotel I won through Priceline bid of $65 for one nights stay.
I was stuck in Boston for a while and needed a nights stay in the suburbs. I wasnt expecting much, since I had been Pricelining hotels all weekend at 4 stars, and decided to go 3* on this night.
This hotel I had never heard of, and I used to live in Bedford. The reason for this is because it is in the middle of Middlesex Turnpike, which isnt close to much. However, it isnt far from too much either. The Burlington mall is down the street and the Interstate is about a five minute drive.
The hotel itself I didnt think much of when I drove up. It reminded me of hotels in California.. more of a villa - probably two stories, not a highrise. The lobby was pretty, simple and sunny. The staff was pleasant and accommodating. Typical of Doubletree Hotels.
They gave me a room 2090, which to be honest got me a little scared during the trek there. I must have walked through four wrapping hallways, and into a common area in the middle of construction. Carpets were pulled up, cardboard, plywood, drywall were in shambles... I had to walk through there, down another ridiculously long hallway and finally to my room.
I opened the door in complete caution - expecting to see drywall all over the place and my jaw dropped. I could not BELIEVE how INCREDIBLY BEAUTIFUL my room was. And I was on the first floor! I honestly think I was the first to step foot in that room and it had obviously JUST been renovated. I smelled the fresh paint, the fresh sheets, the fresh everything. The TV was plasma - wish I coulda bought it, the beds were two full insanely comfortable beds, and the rooms wonderfully decorated in exquisite taste. The curtains even smelled good and curtains are usually gross.
The bathrooms were all marble, and everything made from Kohler. The toiletries were all Neutrogena, and the towels were the fluffiest yet. The carpets were immaculate, and though it didnt have a mini bar, it had a refrigerator and a gigantuous closet. I was scrutinizing hotels at that point and noticed I couldnt think of anything they had already thought about. They even provided Q-tips and cotton balls. Everything was IMMACULATE.
I fell in love with my room and would have moved in had they let me.
I dont know how hotels officially get ratings, but with the service, the quality, and the luxury, this 3* hotel was better than ALL of the 4* hotels I have been to all year long.
When this hotel is finished being remodelled, it needs to be re-assessed to become a 4*.
If I am ever in this area, I will probably buy myself a nights stay here outright, and forget Priceline just so I am sure I can stay here again.
Very impressed.
Very.
Recommended for sure. Better hurry up and stay here while it's still fresh and new.
