“Loved it”

Stayed for 3 days in August 07 and wished we could have stayed longer. Check in staff very friendly and welcoming and room was big and clean. Indoor and outdoor pools and par 3 golf course. Nice mix of older people and families. We are over 50 but dont mind kids. About a 10 minute walk to the restaurants of Main St. We are planning to go back next year for a week. The hotel is a little "tired" but there is a very relaxing and friendly athmosphere which puts you in vacation mood.

Nothing fancy but a clean comfortable hotel. We took an outside facing room (not poolside) as recommended here, and the room was nice sized and the beds clean. The location is great, and most of the staff was very friendly. No complaints overall.

We just returned home from our yearly visit to the Cape. I have stayed at here at least a dozen or so times. The front desk staff is friendly but it is true that you are left to really do your own research on where and what to do. I recommend the visitor center down the street. The dining staff (we do breakfast at the hotel) is also good but I am not pleased with housekeeping and feel it has gone downhill especially the last 2-3 years despite the renovations that have been done. Come armed with windex and paper towells if you are expecting what you paid for. Annoyed since it should be Sheraton standards but besides a little clean up needed the rooms are quite nice.

We used to stay in the pool side rooms thinking it was more fun for the kids. Nope, did the other rooms this year and they are much bigger. If you do not mind a quick walk up a short staircase request upstairs as you will not get parking lot noise although it really is quite quiet. Also fits a cot comfortably in that room if you need.

The indoor pool is nice but there are no lifeguards and nobody from the hotel ever seems to chk in. It is a little upsetting to see 4 and 5 year olds hanging out for lengthy periods of time in the adult only hot tub, but personally that only concerns me for safety reasons. There are signs giving the pool rules but since the staff forgets there is anyone there alot of parents don't care.

The buffet breakfast is a great way to start the day and will take you strait through lunch, has a small but great workout room and an arcade right next to it.

Great location to everywhere!

“a glorified motel”

I was very surprised to find the Sheraton brand attached to this place. It is basically a glorified motel. Service was a problem here, both because the place is severely understaffed and also because the employees just have a bad attitude. Most of the rooms face the pool, which is a problem because they do not enforce the "no kids after 9" rule that is advertised in the information booklet in the room.
The room was spacious and comfortable enough but not particularly clean. Also, our pool-facing room was dark and therefore quite depressing. (The pool is entirely indoors.)
Finding spacious, luxurious accomodation can be a real problem in this part of the Cape but I really believe you'd be better off at a charming bed-and-breakfast.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in July. The hotel exterior looked like a motel but I was pleasantly surprised by our room which was clean and nicely decorated. The room looked recently updated with an a/c which worked really well. The only complaint would be that the bottom of the bathtub was a little black. However, we used our points for our stay and did not think this hotel was worth the close to $300/night rate they were quoting for the nights of our stay.

Our room was exterior facing so we did not have any problems with noise from the indoor pool. It is understandable why the indoor pool facing rooms should be avoided (apart from the noise) because the area felt very damp and smelled strongly of chroline.

We really enjoyed the food at Arnold's, which is just down the road from the hotel. They have an ice cream shop right outside which sells many flavors of very good ice cream - a must try!
