Reserved two Grand King rooms. Was not impressed with the quality. But for the AAA rate of $85.00 it was acceptable. Location was great, right on the main travel route and only one block from the tourist district and the harbor. The motel is very old and only moderately updated. The place was very clean. The room door is original and no longer fits properly. We could see daylight through the crack between the door and the frame. The outdoor pool looked clean. The indoor pool had more swimmers. We did not go to either pool. The wireless network was a plus, we could look up all the information we needed for the next day's activities. Checking the weather online made it easy to decide if a ferry to Martha's Vineyard should be put off for a day. The breakfast was good, nothing fancy but they kept restocking it. It is crowded when it opens but clears out after a hour. Best ferry to Martha's Vineyard is the Steamshipf Authority in Woods Hole. Parking for Woods Hole is just west of Yarmouth. Do not drive into Woods Hole to take the ferry unless it is the off season. We had to drive back and park in one of the special lots set up for the ferry. But they did not charge us to park or to take the shuttle bus.
This place is best for someone on a budget, or is only looking for a place to sleep. The price says it all.

My husband and I recently spent 4 nights here in a "recently renovated" king size room. Sparse and cheap furnishings, the bathroom even though it was "recently renovated" appeared older and the toilet was very slow to flush, the older porcelain sink was cracked and the vinyl floor could have used replacing. There was absolutely no counter or cabinet so there was no where to place your toiletries in the bathroom. Biggest problem was the king size bed - it was the hardest thing we have ever slept on-like sleeping on sheets of plywood. The continental breakfast began way too late every day-not until 8am- and the line was extremely long at that hour so it was actually easier to go out and eat.
However, despite all this, the location was superb, the room was very clean and quiet, the indoor and outdoor pools were great and the price was what we wanted to pay. You get what you pay for, but in this case, it was not as good as we had expected, but not as bad as we have seen before.

We stayed for 2 nights in early August. The lower half of our door was sloppily repaired with plywood. The A/C barely kept up with the hot weather. There was no ventillation in the bathroom. We had to open the window to get some air and there was no screen. We never got maid service - that first full day we had gone to the beach. We got back late in the afternoon and were getting ready to go to a concert at the Melody Tent when they finally came to make up the room (5 PM). We asked them to come back later but they said they were going home so we ended up just getting fresh towels. The location is at the end of Main St and, with heavy traffic, it was very difficult to pull out of the parking lot. The place was very run down - indoor pool had paint peeling off the walls. We never took advantage of the continental breakfast - it was in a small room that seemed very crowded. We opted to go out rather than wait in line. I was expecting a much better place, based on the reviews in Trip Advisor. The cost was cheap - I should've known better. I would not stay at this place again.

Best Value Inn was great! . The location was perfect, just a simple walk to the water, town center, restaurants. Both the indoor and outdoor pools were fabulous. The staff was helpful and very nice and the rooms were a good size for two adults and our two small children. The room could use a little decorating update but for the price, this hotel was definitely worth it and we will stay again next time.
