It was my family's first time in Cape Cod and we found that Hyannis is conveniently located to many attractions. This hotel was right in the downtown area so it was easy to walk to many local attractions. During the day we went to whale watching at barnstable harbor, scenic beaches, JFK museum and memorial and at night we walked to most of the restaurants and bars. The hotel itself has two large sized pools, indoor and out. Our room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The owners, Jim and Al, are very hospitable and know the area very well. They provided answers to every question and accomodated our every desire. Next time our family travels to the Cape we will stay here again. Thank you Jim and Al for all that you have done!

Room smelled a bit - air con I think, other than that for money OK

I agree the location is great, the front desk staff very friendly. When the tiolet broke it was fixed in the time we were to dinner. The maids didn't show up the till about 5pm, there were 3 of us in the room(the cot should of been a hint) but I had to ask daily for more than 2 towels. Room was just ok, what you get for the price I guess. We found it to be very noisy, being on main street and the nearby airport. But again, if you want to walk to everything, beach, restaurants, shops this is great for that. Next time I will stay on 132 and take the short drive in.

Reserved two Grand King rooms. Was not impressed with the quality. But for the AAA rate of $85.00 it was acceptable. Location was great, right on the main travel route and only one block from the tourist district and the harbor. The motel is very old and only moderately updated. The place was very clean. The room door is original and no longer fits properly. We could see daylight through the crack between the door and the frame. The outdoor pool looked clean. The indoor pool had more swimmers. We did not go to either pool. The wireless network was a plus, we could look up all the information we needed for the next day's activities. Checking the weather online made it easy to decide if a ferry to Martha's Vineyard should be put off for a day. The breakfast was good, nothing fancy but they kept restocking it. It is crowded when it opens but clears out after a hour. Best ferry to Martha's Vineyard is the Steamshipf Authority in Woods Hole. Parking for Woods Hole is just west of Yarmouth. Do not drive into Woods Hole to take the ferry unless it is the off season. We had to drive back and park in one of the special lots set up for the ferry. But they did not charge us to park or to take the shuttle bus.
This place is best for someone on a budget, or is only looking for a place to sleep. The price says it all.
