My husband, two children and I had dinner on Mother's Day at Mission Oak Grill. This was our first time to this restaurant. We arrived before our 5:30 pm reservation and was told that it would be about 10 minutes for our seating, although visibly there were many tables free. We had to ask if we could sit in the bar, the hostess did not offer this option to us. She said yes, but we did not know if our two children (ages 14 and 17) could actually sit there with us, so we had to ask the Bartender after he freed himself up to talk to us from the patron at the bar that he was chatting to. We finally was seated after getting our drinks and our waitress came by to give us menus and ask for our drink order. Overall, the food was very good, pricey, but expected. We loved our dinners, but the service was not so great all around. The waitress never offered us bread and butter and my son was served a soda that had a combination of orange and rootbeer in it, but the waitress never offered to remove the soda cost from our tab. For a pretty large bill, we would expect to be given better service and I hope that they will improve in this area.
