In a nutshell: Way too crowded, crazy wait times, poor service, cold and average food. (and in my case, warm yogurt, wtf!)
Details: With 2 kids at Smith college, our family frequents Northampton. We decided to try Sylvester's after hearing about if for years. Bad decision, at least on the Sunday morning we went. 45 minute wait time (fine, we had things to do at the dorm), then another 20 minutes after said 45 mins.
Then, another grueling 10 minutes to take our order, and another 10 minutes for our beverages. By the food actually came we were all pretty impatient and irrtable. They super overcooked my dad's eggs, despite a REQUEST for lightly-cooked eggs. It took them another 10-15 minutes to bring out an egg, lightly fried. Still not what he wanted, and even longer still til they got the right order- his food was cold and nasty by then. My yogurt was warm(bleh), though the homemade granola was quite tasty.
The manager offered to cover our bill, but no money in the world could fix a spoiled breakfast! Maybe it would be better if it were less busy. Needless to say, we won't go back and find out.
