I've been dining at the Oceanview for years. My family visits the Vineyard often and this is our favorite place. Reasonalbe prices and excellent food. The Pub side is just what you would expect, a bar atmosphere, very casual. The restaraunt side is just slightly more expensive but the food is never a dissapointment. The seafood is always fresh and cooked to perfection!

Apparently, this is where the "locals" hang out. The dining room is kind of like a senior center, but the bar area is where the action is. You can order from the full menu and the pub menu from there. The clam chowder is awesome and it's also a nice place to get a decently priced burger. Leave the kids at home (or eat in the main dining room), however...the local old guys can get a bit "friendly." =)

The Oceanview is a great family and intimate place to dine.. There is no Oceanview at night but still the atmosphere is grand.... We have eaten there as a family and for our wedding anniversary for over 10 yrs.. Service is always good, food very good and the drinks... well they are fantastic.
It is one of the only places that still has a great salad bar and is realistically priced.
Now that the kids are older--19 & 22- they still want to go there and my oldest recently spend a long weekend there with friends and took them there too... not bad for a recetn college grad....
I'd highly recommend!
