We were in Plymouth first for a family reunion and returned 5 days later as a convenient stop on the way to the airport.

The first with the family was at the Best Western. We were comfortable but the Raddison is very much better. Great room, excellent pool and a very short walk to the wharf restaurants.

On Thursdays one restaurant has a two lobster dinner special and charged $ 19.95. When we returned on a Wednesday for the Raddison we checked the wharf restaurants again and another was least expensive.

“Great Hotel”

Great location, great hotel, great pool area. Overall I thought this Radisson was very nice. We only ate in the restaurant for breakfast but it was absolutely delicious. The new sleep number beds are very comfortable and we loved the comforters over a bedspread. Only thing we didn't like was the refrigerator that we requested - very very small. A microwave in the room would be a great addition.

“Fine If You Like Cold Showers”

Radisson Hotel Plymouth Harbor

Stayed at this hotel with my family and we were really disappointed. The front desk clerks were not overly warm or helpful (although to be fair I always got the same one; the others were too busy talking amongst themselves). Our shower had great water pressure but no hot water until the very last morning. One of the electrical outlets in the room didn't work, so neither would it's light. The building itself was not bad, but the outdoor landscaping left much to be desired. For $190 a night the hotel should fix the hot water situation and offer a free continental breakfast. Just down the road, at the Best Western, it's about $40 cheaper, breakfast (waffles, etc.) is included and the landscaping is very pretty. (Outdoor pool though). The Radisson is about 1-2 blocks from the waterfront, but about a 10 minute walk from the Mayflower. Don't believe any rooms had a water view, at least ours didn't.

On the plus side, housekeeping did a beautiful job of cleaning our room immaculately every day. Also, security was great. When I smelled smoke in the hall, I called the front desk & 3 men got to the area in less than 1 minute, and figured out where the smoke was coming from (someone was setting off fireworks in the neighborhood). They were great, and housekeeping was too.

My children loved the pool, and would have liked going in the jaccuzzi but couldn't (think it's against regulations). I wished there had been some pool toys for them to play with... we forgot ours.

Our room was not noisy at all (4th floor nonsmoking). The sleep number beds were really comfortable.

Anyway, it isn't a bad place overall, but between the cold showers and cold treatment by the front desk, and breakfast not being included, we won't be staying there again. We'll be down the road, saving $40 and enjoying ourselves a lot more.

Overall my recent stay at this hotel was quite pleasant. The lobby and other common areas are lovely. The murals are beautifully done. Although there is a restaurant on site ($15 complete dinners from 5-6:30 PM that sounded delicious) and an English pub (which seemed to be doing a booming business, free appetizers from 4-7 PM!) we chose a nearby restaurant with outdoor dining after a hot, hot day. Our room was very nice, spacious and would be great for business travelers, as well, as there is Internet access with a desk complete with a high back office type chair. The bathoom with a granite countertop was very impressive and had ample, thirsty towels. The sleep number beds were a hit. One morning I awoke at 7, changed my sleep number, and slept for two more hours! There were a couple of drawbacks to my stay - We had a poolside balcony room. Because of the rather ornate drapes, there was not enough light could come into the room even with them pulled back. And, with every lamp on, it was difficult to read. A few higher wattage bulbs would be a big improvement. Why not show off such a charming room? Next, upon stepping out onto the balcony, the heat and chlorine smell were oppressive. It was rather unpleasant to sit on the balcony and relax for any amount of time. For our entire stay, we lived on air conditioned air. I am planning to re-visit the Raddison later this summer, as the location of the hotel is within walking distance to almost EVERYTHING! But, there's no way I'm booking a poolside room.

My husband and i stayed here for a friends wedding (May 18th 2007), we
had reserved a king non smoking room but got a double smoking room.
Unfortunately the hotel was sold out and we couldn't get moved right
away. that one night was pretty bad! As non smokers, the stench was
horrible. It permeated the bedding, linens, pillows. blech!
However, we were moved first thing the next morning and the front desk
was pretty nice about it.

the staff at "the Pub" was pleasant and more than willing to accomodate
us and all our friends.

Didn't get to experience the pool or sauna.

Good location for exploring Plymouth and the Cape.
