The Crowne Pointe Historic Inn & Spa is perfectly situated in the heart of Provincetown, MA. It is within walking distance of the shore, local sightseeing excursions such as the Pilgrim's Monument, and the quaint streets of downtown with its abundance of shops, art galleries and fantastic restaurants.
Our deluxe room was beautifully decorated, extremely clean and the king sized bed was downy and inviting (and judging by how quickly I fell asleep every night, I'm certain it was sprinkled with magic tranquilizers.)
It was conveniently equipped with wi-fi and plenty of electrical outlets, a flat screen TV with DVD player and best of all, a deep jacuzzi tub! (Complete with rubber ducky)
We splurged on a couple's massage at the Shui Spa on day 2 of our stay and as a testament to the therapists' talent and the ambience of the establishment, we were rendered absolutely useless for the remainder of the day.
Unfortunately we never did partake in the Bistro's offerings but that's only because of how much fun we were having in town and how little we wanted to be held down by solid plans of dinner reservations.
The staff, very accommodating, also seemed genuinely happy. I can only imagine that such a beautiful work environment does wonders for the soul!
It was a treat to stay in Provincetown during the "off season”. What it lacked in lush window boxes and seasonal delights, it more than made up for in tranquility, the beauty of empty beaches, and in the personal service of every establishment we were in.
