I didnt expect this place to be so good for the price (around $140)
It was clean, has its own pool, looks clean.. i didnt get inside..
Breakfast was very good.. hot pancakes, milk, 3 types of juices, 3 varieties of bread.. simply superb. the bathroom was supposed to have whirlpool... i didnt use this either... but looks a little outdated... otherwise, everything else was great.. we even were given a crib( it was a pen, much better for us) the room had fridge, microwave..

Dumpy hotel - but not a lot of choices in the area. Broken lock on outer building door for after-hours arrivals. Dirty pool water - lots of floating hair, dirty bandaids on pool area floor - eeew!
The smell in the hallway was disgusting - like industrial strength cleaning spray trying to cover up cigarette smoke. Dirty carpet in room and stained (blood?) bed cover. Fire hazard parking lot, crowded and poorly configured if ever an emergency.

I think Choice Hotels should dump this property. I don't think you can re-do, it needs to be rebuilt. It is a very lucrative NE area, so a nice hotel is sorely needed!!

The hotel corridors and rooms are a dump.
The hotel lobby is quite nice but once you get beyond this the rest of the hotel smells like a wet dog. The hotel allows pets and this must be why people stop here. The carpets are very dirty from dogs walking in mud from the play area.
We booked a non smoking room but were given a smoking room. When I complained I was given a room in the "executive" wing. This room had a different colour carpet and 2 pictures on the wall. That and the fact that it had not had pets stopping in it was the only difference from the first room.
I have now stopped in 15 different hotels in the USA and this is by far the worst. I would not stop here again.

We stayed at the Quality Inn in Somerset, MA on two occasions in March and April, as it was convenient to our business in the area. The hotel consists of two multi-floor buildings connected by a one-story section housing the pool (very good!) and breakfast room. Our first stay was in the back end of the rear building. That section, especially the upper floors, abuts an elevated stretch of I-195. Truck traffic continues all night. Our second stay was in another section, and was not so noisy. Both rooms were clean and well equipped, with small balconies facing an open area and pond. Baths are outfitted with small jacuzzi tubs. Hallways and common areas were a bit run down. Staff was very helpful with restaurant suggestions, directions, etc. There is a restaurant immediately next door and plenty of other choices nearby. Breakfast was better than average both times, including all the usual stuff, eggs, sausage, yogurt. We'd stay there again, but might compare with other options first.
