We were a little wary about staying at a motel that we couldn't find any reviews about, but are glad we did!
Rooms: Definitely dated, with some refurbs, but CLEAN. Toilet, sink and shower were a funky 60s mustard color with new looking brown(!) tiles. Toilet didn't have much power to it and had to hold down the handle for a few seconds to flush all the way, but no complaints. Plenty of hot water and the shower's water pressure was great. Fresh grout on the tiles. Room had 2 double beds with a nice bedspreads/comforters - not the typical flower pattern ones - mattresses a little firmer than I like but not bad. 19" TV with full Comcast cable 2-70, I believe with remote did the trick - microwave, fridge, iron and ironing board were nice bonuses! Wall lamps and hanging lamps very 70s looking but as I said, clean! Room a decent size and had windows on both ends. A/C and heat both worked fine... No Internet access - only dial-up via phone call. When we asked if there was a charge then to make local calls, he said 75 cents each, but said since we were only using it for the Internet he would waive it... Many thanks!
Property - small, but well laid out. 2 stories, easy walk no matter where you parked. Parking limited to 1 car per unit it seemed as there was literally no more room - you're given a parking pass to display in your windshield. Clean, outdoor pool used by many guests though not us. Complimentary breakfast included danish, muffins, OJ, and coffee.
Finally, the location! Yes, their 5 minutes to the beach claim to fame was true. Continue walking down SeaView and you're at a small stretch of public beach between a couple of hotel's private beaches. Very convenient and saves $15! Continue walking down a side street and there are 2 more town beaches probably within 5-10 more minutes as well... Nice to be off Route 28 and would recommend!
