We've stayed at Blue Rock four or five times in the past, visiting relatives nearby, and have never been disappointed. This time we were there on opening day in April 2007 (they close for the winter). I had anticipated some "rough edges", maybe not much in the way of a breakfast or maybe a cobweb in the room. But no, nothing like that. There were about 10 guests on opening day, most of them golfers. Breakfast, as usual, was superb (pancakes loaded with cranberries and apples). The room was clean and fresh. And, of course, there was the usual view out over the golf course, some crocuses and daffodils springing up around the property. And the staff was good as usual.

Blue Rock is a bit of a challenge to find, but well worth the effort unless you really enjoy being in a typical motel on route 28 with the traffic whizzing -- maybe crawling -- by. Blue Rock is in a residential area, there's no traffic, it's quiet and peaceful, and yet only 5-10 minutes from the beach or some outstanding restaurants. You want golf? It's right there. You want quiet streets to wander or jog? Walk out your door and start strolling. You can go out and go to the beach all day, or go shopping or antiquing,... and then come back to a restful haven at Blue Rock. It's not brand new, but like a comfortable old shoe it fits just right and really feels good to be there. We wouldn't stay anywhere else.

We love the Blue Rock Golf Resort too. Many people come to play golf in the spring and fall, but you are right it is our get away resort. I think it is great that it is nestled into the fabric of Cape Cod. It is quiet and full of nature. All you have to do is look out your windows to see nature at its best. Thank you very much for explaining it's attributes so well.

The best think about going to the Blue Rock is that you can use the amendities of our other 4 Cape Cod Resorts and thereby getting the best of both worlds.

“Nice off-season getaway”

My husband and I wanted a little two-night getaway and didn't want to spend a fortune. Blue Rock was a perfect solution. We aren't golfers, but the adjoining course made the surroundings seem quieter. Our room had an in-room jacuzzi for two, which was a nice touch. The only complaint was that the restaurant was closed, so we had to drive downtown for dinner. I had been looking forward to parking the car and walking everywhere for a few days, but this isn't the place for that. However, I noticed many of the other hotels/motels in Yarmouth are plunked right on the main road, so I think I'd take Blue Rock over that any day.

Yes, I think being away from Route 28 is an asset for this Resort. It is quiet and quaint, yet comfortable and relaxing.

We were given one night at the Blue Rock as a gift. It is located in a nice area and it has a huge golf course. We are not golfers but if you are this is the place for you. The place is decent with adequate rooms and a nice pool area. Cleanliness on the other hand was an issue. The bathroom was rather dirty. Thank God I brought my disinfecting wipes because I had to clean it my self. The maid must not know that the toilet seat comes up. I can't begin to tell you how disguisting it was under there. We also found long hairs in our towels that didn't belong to us. On a positive note they have a restaurant that serves breakfast and lunch. We had breakfast and it was very good. Besides the dirty bathroom it wasn't to bad although I think next time we will go to their sister resort the Red Jacket Riviera, that was a nice place and literally on the beach. I guess it depends on what you like.

A beautiful setting, quiet and very relaxing. The rooms were of a high standard with plenty of space. The rooms had a view overlooking the golf course. The staff were friendly and courteous. The only problem was that the restaurant close at a ridiculously early 7.30pm We would ave liked to have eaten there but the early closure prevented this.
There is access to other beach side resorts in the area, although there were plenty of sun beds by the pool, if you needed a swim.
A very nice hotel, I'd certainly stay there again.

My boyfriend and I just returned from a 2 night stay and absolutely loved the place. When we went to check in, much to our surprise, our room was ready AND we had a free upgrade.. We stayed in room 110. The room had 2 queen size beds and a couch. I truly recommend this room, very nice and the bathroom was huge and very, very clean!!! We also had a patio which overlooked the golf course.

We ate lunch at the golf course restaurant and the food was good too. There is a small bar after you check in and walk thru the lobby. George the bartender makes very good drinks and was very friendly. He gave us a good recommendation for dinner and we are glad that we tried it. We ate at the Yarmouth Inn.

All I know is that I will definitely stay there again. Very, very nice staff and pretty grounds.
