We went to the Vineyard for the Annual Shark Tournament and stayed at the Croker House Inn. We have never stayed at a B&B before and were completely blown away by the service we recieved from the Inn Keepers who happen to also be the owners. They were very friendly and helpful in recommending places to have dinner, sights to see and how to best get around the island without a car. The room was perfect, so clean you could eat off the floor. We highly recommend the Crocker House Inn to anyone who wishes to find the hidden gem. We are looking forward to a return trip soon!

The Crocker House Inn is a nice place to stay if you visiting Martha's
Vineyard. It's in a great location-- walking distance to the ferry and to the town of Vineyard Haven. The owners are pleasant and helpful, and they serve a good buffet-style breakfast in the morning. The rooms are clean, but a bit cramped. I would not recommend spending the extra money for a guest to sleep on a sofa bed in one of their suites. The sofa bed in our suite was a twin size and very uncomfortable. Otherwise, I liked this Inn. Sitting on their front porch in the evening enjoying the view of the harbor was delightful.

The Crocker House was a 5 minute walk from the Fast Ferry leaving from New Bedford.
The owners were very friendly and suggested some great places to eat.

We stayed in room #7, and I was pleasantly surprised that the room was bigger than it appeared on the website photos.
The room had had a sitting area with a fireplace, stand-up shower and a separate alcove for the queen bed. The bed was a little soft and rickety, but was comfortable.

Breakfast was tasty-eggs and turkey in a flaky wrap, yogurt with blueberry muffin at the bottom, and lots of OJ, fruit, etc.

Crocker House was one of the few B&Bs that allowed 2-night stays (we had a quick 3-day weekend). Most places I called were 3-night minimums. The price, location, breakfast , deep-dish chocolate chip cookies and 2-night minimum made this place a winner.

Vineyard Haven had some nice shops on Main St. It was a little quiet-this is a dry town. We would have liked to stop in somewhere for a nightcap, but we liked Vineyard Haven- a scenic, sleepy island town.

My girlfriend and I rented bikes from Martha's Rentals ($20/day)and biked all over the island. We mentioned Jeff from the crocker house and got $3 bucks off each. It's the best way to zip around and see the beauty of the island-we were like little kids riding from the West Tisbury farmer's market to the colorful clay beach at Gayhead.

Atria in Edgartown was very Romantic. The outdoor tent was lit with lanterns, and the food was 3.5 out of 5 stars. Get there a little early and have a drink at the piano bar downstairs.

Oak Bluffs is a little touristy, but the park by the pier is idyllic, and the the campground full of little gingerbread cottages built in the 1840's is a must-see.

Crocker house was a nice home base on a wonderful weekend in Martha's Vineyard.

My husband and I decided to take a last-minute trip to Martha's Vineyard during the July 4th week and were able to get one of the last available rooms at the Crocker House Inn. We were not familiar with it but were pleasantly surprised. The location is great--an easy 5-minute walk to the ferry, shopping and restaurants.

The inn itself was wonderful. The only downside was the size of our room. While my husband and I loved it (very nicely decorated, cozy feel), some may not like such close quarters. We loved everything about the room though. While it was small, it was very charming.

The breakfast was tasty and Jeff and Jynell were really friendly and very helpful. All in all, we had a wonderful week and will definitely stay at the Crocker House Inn the next time we visit Martha's Vineyard.
