I have been going to Clyde's with friends and family for over 10 years. The good is delicious and cheap and the atmosphere is nice. I went last week with my family and in the back of the restaurant, I was trying to park. They have a loading dock with a ditch that is not marked, there are not lights and there are no signs. I was driving my father who did not want to walk through the entire restaurant so when I tried finding a closer spot, I drove through what I THOUGHT was pavement, but it was a ditch that was over my head deep. My car plummeted down and was teetering on only the front wheel. I was completely hysterical assuming that my car was totaled and I was terrified that it was going to flip. The back wheels where three feet in the air and the only thing touching was the front right wheel. The cooks and waitstaff came to the door to see what the matter was, but saw that it was "just another car in the ditch" and continued on their way. This is a compete lawsuit waiting to happen, never mind how hurt my family and I could have been. I had to call AAA as I sat and waited for them, in the front seat, with my foot on the break for 25 minutes because if not, my car would roll of the cliff/ditch.
This was the most terrifying experience I have had in my lifetime, hands down, and I was appalled that no one in the restaurant seemed to care. When we went in, they offered us free wings, and I said to them, I am hysterical and cannot drive home, I would like to speak to the owner. He was "not in" but they took my number and promised to call, this did not happen.
Now, I apologize that I seem to be bantering in this review, but you can see that I have reviewed many hotels, restaurants, attractions, etc. and I want people to know that this establishment is not promoting safety towards their customers and I advise you to seek elsewhere for your food. I am saddened that I have lost one of my favorite restaurants but I am angered at the way they left me in the dark to wait for emergency help. That is completely unacceptable. Not until I told them that I was bringing a lawyer into the situation did they put up some makeshift signs saying "caution". Unbelievable.
