“Great place to stay!”

The Maple Street Inn

We had a great time at the Maple Street Inn! The owners were very helpful and considerate and were not at all intrusive. They were very warm and welcoming from the start and couldn't have been better hosts. Our room (the Holly Room) was beautiful and very comfortable. The owners had taken so much care to attend to every detail of the room. The breakfasts were really well prepared and delicious and we appreciated their flexibility in timing. On our way out, we asked to see the other rooms which were also incredibly beautiful. If anything, the website pictures do not do justice to the rooms. They are MUCH more spectacular in reality. The surroundings were really peaceful and relaxing, although there is a lot to do nearby in terms of nice beaches, restaurants, and neighboring towns. I've stayed at quite a few B and Bs and this was by far the best experience I've had! We will definitely go back!

We were referred here by another inn that could only offer us one night. The inn is a newly renovated home listed on the National Historic Register. It is beautiful with a gorgeous patio/deck out back. We chose the Holly room because it opened to the deck. It also has a private entrance so you don't have to go through the house to get to it. The location is very quiet and sits above a pond, just two minutes from 6A. They plan to cut the brush so the view to the pond will be better. Our room was tiny but comfortable. Probably not good for the "big and tall" set. The bathroom was very small but so clean and new I think we were the first to use it! My husband felt a bit cramped. My husband was able to catch the last few minutes of the Red Sox on the flat screen TV. Lost to the Yankees, alas... The cook had a few problems getting our breakfast on the table but once the problems were ironed out, the French toast was delicious. Fresh squeezed juice. Fresh fruit. Yummy homemade granola and all the fresh coffee we could drink. The owners, Pat and Len are very friendly and happy to offer suggestions for dining and things to see and do. We ate at the Roadhouse in Hyannis. Wonderful! We also saw a play at the Cape Playhouse in Dennis. Fun.

“Best B&B experience ever”

Came to the Cape for a 70th Birthday (my dad's) and needed a place to stay. Turns out the Maple Street Inn was the highlight of the trip. It's been beautifully and lovingly restored by Len & Pat very recently; it's got a great location near all of the 6A antique shops and not far from Highway 6.

We stayed in the Holly Room. It's lovely and quiet with a separate entrance. Nice touches include a small crystal chandelier, the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in; a flatscreen tv with DVD player (remember to bring you're own); chenille robes and shower with body sprays. Next time, we plan to try out the Hydrangia room.

But it's not just about the structure. Pat & Len are delightful--helpful without being intrusive; they serve a delicious breakfast; Len even helped us pick out paint colors (we were inspired by the palette of the b&b).

We'll be back! And recommend it highly!

“Magical Maple Street Inn”

The Maple Street Inn

12 Aug 2007

Pat and Lenny have created a pieceful and beautifully decorated home which is turned over to its guests. A real find which is outstanding for value.

Having not stayed in a B&B in the USA, we would normally stay in Hotels, predominantely the Intercontinental brands this was a new step. All potential concerns were dismissed immediately upon driving up to this Picture-Post Card buidling, and then meeting the hosts Pat and Lenny who immediately made us feel at home - literally.

Lenny & Pat are a fantastic couple who immediately endeered themselves to myself and my familly. The style of the house is fantastic with beautifully hand picked pieces which blend in so well with the history and surroundings of the building.

Lenny showed us to our room and oh what a room!. A massive bed, which was beautifully decorated with fabulous pillows and bedspread, a bathroom which was immense - his and her basisn, a shower which was gigantic and a Jacuzzi bath, set into a beautiful picturesque window - with no fear of anyone seeing in, which looked out over a beautiful grass area down towards a river - heaven!!!

My children shared a fantastic room with their own amenities and were just across the hall.

The rooms were well serviced with TV, Fridge etc and Lenny and Pat made available Beach Chairs and Towels for use - all gratefully accepted.

Breakfast was served on a lovely deck area to the side of the house and the quality of service and food was second to none.

Other nice touches was in the late afternoon/early evening wine was available and cookie and fresh lemonade for the children. We stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed in an unobtrusive way a few glasses of wine with Lenny & Pat who were extremely interesting in helping us to understand the area, and showed a great interest in understanding Scotland.

When we asked about eating out Lenny & Pat were able to recommend brilliant places and had sample menu's which gave us a great idea of what to expect.

We have told all of our friends and familly about this fantastic find in Cape Cod, and I have no fears in recommending this B&B as being at the highest level of cleanliness, friendlyness and a fantastic place to base yourself whilst exploring a fantastic part of the USA. Highly recommended. We WILL be back.

“The best disaster we ever recovered from”

We had booked another B&B over the web in West Barnstable, but when we arrived our booking had gone astray and the B&B was full. The owner rang the Maple Street Inn and luckily they had a room.

The owners, Pat and Len Curran could not have been more welcoming and helpful. And what a room!!. Beautifully restored with dormer windows, the biggest, most comfortable bed we have ever slept on and a gorgeous claw foot bath. Then there was breakfast. The baked eggs and pumpkin bread were delectable. We could not have been happier.

Geraldine and Bill,
How are you both!! It was so good to hear from you. We missed you both when you left and hope you had a great time in Newport. But what a review!! We can't thank you enough. I had a person book in October on the basis of the reviews on trip advisor, yours being the most recent. I'm so happy you mentioned the breakfast as she was very interested in the menu. I think I'll put it on line. We still haven't decided on a dog. We have a mangy looking fox circuling our property now and if we had a dog we might get rid of it. But we've been busy, thank goodness, although a dog is very much in our thoughts. I'm still leaning toward a golden retreiver.
Regards and Best Wishes, Len and Pat
