A great little property located in the right location for seeing various cities and doing different activities.

I talked to Corby on the phone a couple of times before deciding where to stay and she was just so helpful and friendly. Gave me advice on how to get there from Boston and her attitude sealed the deal for me.

Everyone at the Resort was professional and very friendly too.

We went whale watching that was a 45 min drive away, took the scenic train with a stop in Sandwich, visited Plimouth Plantation/Mayflower II which was about 40 min away, did the Freedom Trail in Boston which was about 1 hr & 30 min with traffic, and visited Hyannis nearby.

It was pretty cool and cloudy so we didn't get to enjoy the outside pool as the kids and I are chicken, but the indoor pool was great.

The continental breaksfast was impressive every day (8 nights stay) and my kids really enjoyed it. They have a belgium waffle station! yum.

“Nice, friendly staff, excellent location, extremely noisey Jacuzzi suite”

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Bayside Resort Hotel to celebrate our anniversary. We thought we'd enjoy a nice, romantic weekend and booked the Jacuzzi suite.

The Pros:
========
This simple yet pleasant hotel is affordable and offers visitors to the Cape with a fantastic location. The backyard area of the resort is very small (1000 sq. ft. perhaps) but is covered in sand and has a sitting area for nicer times of year to lounge around with a view. Though it isn't a beach, it's setup to look like one. The parking is very convenient and there is a staircase and door entry every 6 - 7 rooms. While there, we encountered three or four staff members and they were all very pleasant (though the maid spoke no English whatsoever).

The complimentary breakfast was pretty good and consisted of bagels, donuts, three types of cereals, muffins, and several other types of foods that were tasty. The area was also setup well.

The arcade area is fantastic for kids (has air hockey, foosball, pool, some older arcade machines) and the hotel has a bar for the 21+ crowd wishing to escape the daily grind with a drink.

The location of this hotel is very close to the airport, at least a dozen restaurants (pizza places, Subway, other fast food chains, IHop, Olive Garden, etc.) and just a five minute drive or so from Main St. shopping. The hotel gives you complimentary discounts off of area restaurants.

The hotel has countless amounts of activities for children. They had a huge cage that you can bounce in (moon bouncing it might be called) among other things and it's very scheduled.

The Cons:
========
Apparently, there are several other Jacuzzi suits in the vicinity so throughout the day (and night), you were basically overwhelmed by an obnoxiously loud, overpowering sound when the jets were running or even when others were filling up their Jacuzzis!

Aside from the noise itself, the "suite" wasn't very impressive. The TV was a small, 27" (at most) TV that was situated at a level lower than the bed itself which made viewing and changing the channel annoying and difficult. Movies, by the way, are $11.50.

The suite was lit by just 2 lamps attached to the bed and 3 small bulbs on the far end of the room. The main lamp in the room didn't even work and we couldn't find a switch for it.

This hotel is definitely geared towards being a "family hotel." The pool room was always overcrowded but then again, we also went during Spring vacation.

The Conclusion:
=============
Bottom line? If you're going for a romantic getaway and the Jacuzzi suite caught your attention, you might want to think twice about it because of the noise. It was so loud we even had to increase the volume of our TV substantially and raise our voices. You could also hear a loud vibrating sound through your pillow during the night when they were in use around you.

However, if you're headed to Bayside for a family trip, I'd recommend it. I saw many families having a good time and they really enjoyed the pool area, arcade, breakfast, and free activities. Hope this review helps. Happy traveling!

“Kids vacation week”

This was our first "Kids vacation week" at this hotel and the kids had a blast. The Bayside Resort is nothing fancy but the rooms were very clean, the beds comfy and for the amount of people that were in the pool and hot tub, the water was sparkling. (way too much chlorine for me!) The room rate included breakfast, which could use more protein on its menu but it was adequate, a basic motel room with 2 full size beds, a mini fridge, and a color TV with free movies all day. The Bayside kept the kids busy with a game room, daily shows, including a magician, juggler, reptile and science shows, pizza parties and ice cream socials. The heated indoor pool and hot tub were a hit and for the price of $109.00 per night with four people to a room, it was a bargain. The property is located on the not so great stretch of route 28 in West Yarmouth but there was plenty of activities close by if you wanted to venture out. The Zooquarium and Ryan's bowling alley was right down the street. The Bayside does not have a restaurant but there are alot of them near this property. If you want peace and quiet, do not go during February vacation! I thought the room heater/air conditioner was way too loud but it probably drowned out the noisy hallways. I have stayed here without the kids in October and it was peaceful.

“Good Value--Nice Family Hotel”

Pros:

-Good value—2 night stay over Thanksgiving was $150 plus tax.
-Very Clean property—rooms were very clean. Maid staff was polite. The non-smoking policy allows for much cleaner air in the hotel.
-Convenient location—close to downtown Hyannis on Route 28. Close to HYA—Hyannis Airport, the ferry, and the bus terminal by car, but not walking distance.
-Adequate breakfast—for breakfast there was an assortment of juices, bread, and cereal. -Sitting areas were available in a conference room, a den, and a patio outside overlooking a picturesque marsh.
-Plenty of activities—hotel had a fitness center, indoor and outdoor pools, and a pub.
-Great customer service—management shows a great concern for guests. In fact I had filled out a comment card in regards to my stay and I received a personal letter from the hotel’s assistant manager addressing my compliments and concerns.

Cons:

-The décor and furniture could use a little modernization for a 3* hotel (I think a 2.5* rating would be more accurate); then again this could be said for many Cape motels/hotels.
-The television was old and small in comparison to other hotels.
-Different rooms in the hotel based on amenities are priced differently. Depending on your likes and space considerations you may want to investigate the different types of rooms.

Booked this hotel from the many in this area of MA - used the reviews on this site and it certainly lived up to the hype.

Nice location on the bay and well situated for exploring all over the Cape. We got a large room which overlooked the bay and the hotel provided a great continental breakfast - all the usual bagels, cereal, muffins, toast etc....very filling! The pool here also looked nice although we never used it - the outdoor pool was closed for the season.

Overall, very impressed - made to feel very welcome. Would definitely stay here again.
