“Good return stay at Bayside - clean and two pools a plus”

Bayside Resort Hotel

This was our 2nd time back at Bayside, the first time being 3 years ago. We like the location (midway between the town of Hyannis and the better mini-golf/outdoor sports places). We like that it has an indoor and outdoor pool and that the rooms open to an interior corridor rather than to the parking lot, so it feels more like a hotel than a motel (and it's safer). We like that the indoor pool is open until 11 pm. The complimentary breakfast is a nice feature, especially in this area of the cape which has become way too overcrowded during the summer. The addition of the make-your-own Belgian waffle machines was a huge hit with my husband and teen. The place never feels crowded. The gameroom has gone downhill and needs revamping, although the pool table and air hockey (broken while we were there unfortunately) are nice features. Staff if friendly, the rooms are comfortable and clean and the TVs large and have lots of stations, the grilled chicken sandwiches at the pool bar are GREAT. If we stay in this part of the Cape again, we'll stay here, but I do have to rethink coming to this part of the Cape. The traffic on Rte 28 was always at a crawl, any day of the week and it added almost an hour to any trip into town or up towards Brewster.

“Very dark parking lot”

Our bathtub was very dirty when we checked in. They were very nice and sent someone up right away to clean it, but he still couldn't get it clean - actually, we could get it off with our fingernails, but he wasn't scrubbing at all. There was hair on the walls our entire stay also that the maid never cleaned.

The parking lot was one of the darkest parking lots I have ever seen at a hotel. I stayed with my friend, and just 2 girls walking from our car in that very dark parking lot to the door of the hotel was kinda scary. They really need to put some lights in their parking lot.

The staff was very nice and friendly though.

We have just returned from the Bayside and had a great time. The hotel have really helpful and friendly staff and are child friendly. Our room was clean and the complimentary breakfast made the trip good value. I would recommend this hotel to anyone travelling with children.

“Not worth the money”

Bayside Resort Hotel

The property was nice but the room that they gave us was very old , dark, dingy and musty. The air conditioner was very loud and the bathroom shower did not work properly. They gave us a handicapped room and did not tell us. The entire bathroom was very uncomfortable. It was not worth the money.

“Nice by Cape standards”

Bayside Resort Hotel

As anyone who has been to the Cape would know, it can be a challenge to find a decent place to stay. This place was a step above all the other places on Rt. 28 that we looked at. The outdoor pool was kept clean, and it was nice to have the poolside "Bellyfloppers" for a drink and snack. I also liked the little sand area they set up with lounge chairs that overlooked Lewis Bay.
We got a Cathedral room, which we were told had all new furnishings within the last few weeks. I only wish they had replaced the bed as well! That really is my only complaint-the bed was really hard, and looked old as well. The synthetic blanket was one of those old staticy ones, and had lots of hair clinging to it.So after I removed the bedspread and blanket, I was only left with a sheet.I would have rated this property a 4* if the bed was comfortable.
The included breakfast was adequate, and had a waffle station as well. The coffee and juice were available all day which was nice.
Wireless internet is included at no charge.
