This is the closest Bob Evans to us and we have visited it many times with the best results being fair. We went here for breakfast and decided to just have a simple order. We both ordered identical meals; two eggs over easy, bacon extra crispy (we told the waitress that you cant burn it enough), and rye toast. No problem, right? Wrong! BTW, the place was not busy at all. It was about 20 minutes and we received our breakfast. Or part of it, the rye toast wasn't done yet?!? 20 minutes for toast? To our surprise, the eggs were done perfectly. Unfortunately the bacon looked nearly raw. The waitress hadn't even left the table and we asked if that looked like crisp bacon. She gave a puzzled look and we said that we asked for EXTRA crispy bacon. Without a word, she took our plates, eggs and all. Two minutes (if even that long) later she came back and placed our plates in front of us again. Not surprisingly, the bacon looked about the same. I said, "Come on, that's no different." She looked annoyed and took the plates away again and came back after a couple more minutes, with our "toast". Now the eggs were cold, the bacon was still extremely limp and the rye toast was rye bread with butter. Unfortunately this was not a unique experience at this particular Bob Evans but I can guarantee it will be the LAST experience we ever have at it!
