First of all, I'm not sure where the term "suites" comes from in the name of this hotel. My room was definitely NOT a suite. A small microfridge does not make it a suite. However, I didn't care as it was a business trip. Families should just make sure the room they are getting is actually a suite.

The room was clean, althought there was some mild mold in the bathroom ceiling. However, every hotel I've ever been to in Detroit has some mold, so this is a minor thing. (Just different standards and older properties I think)

The bed was surpringly firm and comfortable, a real bonus. The decor is dated, and the carpet in my room was coming up in places. The location was good, the breakfast was good, and the service was OK. All in all, a decent place, and priced right.

My husband and I wanted to stay in a nice, clean, safe hotel near Detroit. After searching this site and reading several reviews, we decided to stay at the Best Western Laurel Park Suites and we were very happy with our decision. The front desk staff was very nice and helpful with directions. The room was spacious and the hot tub (which was no extra charge) was huge!! We had a very comfortable night's sleep. Our only complaint was that our room was located across from the supply room for housekeeping and the breakfast items and we were awaken at 6:30am from the staff talking in the hall. Once they got their supplies, we were able to go back to sleep. Despite being awaken, we would definitely stay there again. In the morning, we were able to enjoy the breakfast and it was tasty! The best part is that we were able to also have late checkout with no problems! I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

The hotel is nice and clean, the best part is the very large jacuzzi tubs in the first floor rooms. The second floor has smaller tubs but there is a second small jacuzzi tub in the bathroom, which is nice. Continental breakfast is ok. Worth the money!
