We arrived here at 4.30am by autorickshaw. The driver managed to rouse someone & we were shown to a room. This was adequate, although full of dead insects plus one extremely noisy cicada, which didn't allow any sleep. There was a geyser in the bathroom so we were able to have an adequate warm shower (we'd spent 12 hours on a train). In the morning we went to have breakfast & this proved a real challenge to the separate restaurant. Eventually we did get some toast, instant coffee & canned orange juice. We then discovered that our prepaid booking was not for this hotel at all! Our confirmation was for the "Hotel Siddhartha Lumbini", which turned out to be a hotel just round the corner now calling itself Hotel Lumbini International. The staff at Siddhartha Vihara was friendly & helpful enough, but the Lumbini was a much better hotel.
